My first punk rock album I bought as a teenager was when the Buzzcocks came out with the "Singles going Steady" album and I never stopped being a fan since. They are awesome!

This is an amazingly timeless, infectious punk-pop tune with a Carribean beat/ reggae riff, a relaxed, albeit angular groove, lyrically approaching punk angst with singer Pete Shelley's narrative inching palpably closer to his desire. The beauty of this performance is that it is in real time, an approximation of a loop as the drums and bass lock into a groove that is humanly imperfect in the pre-drum machine sound of 1978. Listen and enjoy!

@gbthecoach YEAH, i saw a show in the late 80's and recorded it on my walkman. Too bad it came out bad, technically and sound-wise. They were sick from over-tour-ing (mgr pushed them too hard), i had a broken bone, and pete apologized "this is the tour of the talking wounded." But..., i still am glad I got to see them play. Just Fab! Love to see them again, esp in this day and age, now that technology has caught up to their sound. Rock on, boys.

Ok. I'm guessing the song is used on Entourage. I don't know, I don't watch it. That's okay, but songs work best when unsullied by associations with later material that had nothing to with it.
