Got a lead role in Katy Perry’s music video Friday.. and Glee ended up doing a cover of the song in a episode.. never let the hater win

Not to mention, her song wasn't even inappropriate or bad. It was just a fun teen song about school being over and the weekend being here. I think people found it cheesy so they kinda went on and on about it...

Hate is hate, and you shouldn’t rank it. They both received hatred for things that were, to an extent, beyond their control. Also, let’s keep in mind that Rebecca was 13, and Justin was 16. A thirteen year old does not have the social experience or social maturity to rise above hatred as well as someone who is three years older. Regardless, they both went on with their lives, and they are in a better position now.

She did this song 9 years ago at 13?!?! Time is flying by FAST. Now she's 22 and seem to have a good head on her shoulder. Best of luck to her!

@Patrick William Same here. It was around the same time as gangnam style. Both songs were all over.

@Patrick William The video came out in 2011 but she recorded it in 2010. So, yes for her it was 9 years ago.

An adult wrote a song for a teenage girl that seemed like a teenage girl had written it, seems on brief to me.
@kyurei44784 жыл бұрын
Yeah but I mean, a teenage girl is still able to write a good song tho...He still did it in a poor way as if a not talented teenage girl would have wrote it.

Al these people commenting, “ohh she’s cool, she grew up with bullying and overcame it”, knowing damm well we were the ones commenting all them stuff and disliked the video. Im guilty

Yeah but at the same time at least for me I was 13 when it came out and at that age behind the scenes stuff and such weren’t stuff a young mind like that understands. We don’t know how many hoops and how many people are involved in such a process, or why even something like this goes viral. We all grow up and look at how little our younger self knows, and reflect on decisions. It’s a similar situation to someone watching a bad movie and blaming the lead actor for it.
