I lived in a small apartment growing up and due to living arrangements, I slept in the same bed as my mom for most of my childhood. I can definitely say her presence was comforting while I slept and I did sleep in later. I'm very close with my mom and I think the reasoning behind that is because I was able to form a sort of bond with her by sleeping in the same bed. Im 16 and if I ever need to feel that motherly comfort I wouldn't hesitate to share a bed with her again. I like that Hannah tried this with her kids :)

Yeah! Same for me. We were a joint family . So my grandparents slept in one room. And dad, mom , my brother and I slept on one bed. And the comfort near mommy is the best.

i didnt sleep with my parents and i had horrible nightmares sometimes even 10 per night but me and my mom are super close and if i were to sleep over at their place me and my mom sometimes sleep in the same bed (lol). so i dont think sleeping together on the regular is the only way to form that bond but being physical like cuddling and hugging and such is important. i think you can find a solution so that you as an adult dont loose your entire personal space if you have the possibility, yet still form an amazing relationship with your kids.

I did the same until I was 13-14. I had crazy anxiety and it really helped, and my Dad would also sleep on the couch because it was too hot upstairs (where the bedrooms are). I moved into my own room eventually, just bc I was feeling comfortable and secure enough, and I'm honestly glad I was able to sleep in my moms room that long. I think it helped us be as close and honest with each other as we are now!

In my experience kids just get those thin, plain single-person mattresses without anything fancy in them whereas parents often have queen/king sized beds with 2-3 mattresses on it- each with different padding, humidity control and all that bling 😁

To me this seems instinctual. My parents bed was always the place I wanted to be when I was sick even when they weren't there because instinctively we know that this is the place our parents (people who have lived longer than us and thus haven't been killed in their sleep) feel safe enough to sleep at night. It's something I've noticed in my pets too my dog feels safe in her moms little den so she stays there sometimes and same with the foxes that live outside my house

Such sweet kids! You can tell when kids are raised to be lovely and well behaved and its so refreshing to see! When i lived with my folks we had neighbours with kids similar ages to Wyatt and Jackson but they were totally different. The parents would scream at the kids for the smallest things and then ignored them when they genuinely misbehaved. These kids are already getting into trouble at school and bullying the kids on the estate because they learned from their parents and dont get the proper respect or treatment from their families. Its a sad thing to see because no child should grow up unhappy, or see parents unhappy because of it. Long story short Hannah youre awesome and those kids have the best mum ever :3

It was actually terrible, because we had leggings that was the complete same just in different sizes. And the way we would lay would make out butts touch. Terrible terrorness, now I live with my mom and sleep in my own room. Yay.

I bedshare/cosleep with my daughter and love it. I get some of the sweetest cuddles ever every night and it's the best way to end the day. I'm more comfortable keeping her close but I know it won't last forever.

Haha! Welcome to the world of cosleeping/bed sharing. My 12 year old son slept with us until he was 5 and we are still sharing a bed with our 6 year old daughter. There are definitely pros and cons but for us the pros outweigh the cons. My kids always slept better and it also helped soothed decreased stress and anxieties.
