I’m on my fourth day and what’s been keeping me going, is watching nail art, videos of others succeeding on their journey to stop nail biting and seeing the growth. Seeing that small growth in my nails makes me so happy! I’d suggest using garlic cloves for a faster process. It takes exactly a month to fully break a habit. Let me know if you guys would like an update from me each week

I also bite my nails I find myself doing it without even noticing sometimes. I tried getting acrylic nails to stop it which did work for about a week after they were off but then I was back at it. My mom even tried helping like everytime she would see me she would tell me to stop and I’d just sneak and do it. I find gum helps to an extent because I’m the type to need something to chew 24/7 (rather rubber, food, plastic etc...) anything chewy. I also do it when I’m stress. Yes I know I may sound like a freak for chewing on things but hey it’s a bad habit that I can’t seem to break (I feel like a addict lol)

Try putting a cheap nail polish over your nails cause once you scrap it off and bite your nails it will most likely taste really bad since it's cheap nail polish:)

My sister's dentist gave this stuff (Malvala polish) to her so she would stop sucking her thumb and I put it on my nails too so she wouldn't have to take it alone and IT'S AWFUL! THE TASTE NEVER GOES AWAY!😝

I've had horrible nail biting habits for most of my life, and no matter how hard I tried to stop it I never seemed to be able to I am proud to announce I have gone a year without biting my nails! :D They are the healthiest they have ever been and I'm very happy for it I pretty much used lots of different things to help me stop, like using nail filers anytime I had ragged edges, putting on spicy nail polish (this did nothing for me but it might work for someone else!) Colored nail polish so I couldn't really see my nails/bandaids (these helped the most because Everytime I bite my nails I felt something in the way and reminded myself to stop)

I used to bite my nails a lot and my cousin made me get rid of that habit and I even grew long nails but since Dec 2017 i got my habit of nail biting back and it’s so annoying. When ever I’m in class and can’t solve questions I’ll bite my nails . Whenever I’m nervous,scared , lonely I’ll bite my nails . Even if I get like fancy nail arts and beautiful nails I just bite my nails with them because my logic is that’s I’m not gonna swallow the nail like so I won’t digest any glitter and nail polish. Any ideas or suggestion on how I should get rid of this habit

So basically my friend is a nails bitter ("addict"). She'll bite her nails nonstop and once we was on the car with this one uncle , and she is currently biting her nails, so then he ask "did you eat your dinner? Are you hungry" Lol u should try that with anyone you know who is addicted to biting nails. Ohhh and just some other info, i dont thing doing manicure oranything like that really work for long term becuz my friend she just ended up peeling it or bite it something like that but it might not apply to you though :)
