Audi TT short shifter mod makes the car feel awesome!

Why do not use the original piece and make another hole at the same distance that the new one in short position? It would be practicaly free.

It’s £40 for the short shifter. Not expensive and it’s a lot easier

Have you tried this with full throw reduction? Heard of issues doing this. Also isn't a linkage reset usually needed?

Most of the time its fine, but it can exaggerate any existing linkage issue, so then a basic reset of cable lengths would be required

I don't understand the concept of "short shifting". Does the stick have a shorter distance to travel to find the gear?

“Short shifting” is actually when you change gear before its peak power/revs, this is sometimes done to aid traction. This short shifter simply reduces the throw of the gear stick

why buy a part almost identical to the original, wouldn't it be enough to simply modify the old one with a little bit of a milling cutter?
