Another player that played a huge roll in Yuki Kawamura's success was NBA G league player, Yuki Togashi, another small asian guard. Kawamura studied Togashi, played alongside him, and cites him as a major inspiration. Togashi walked so Kawamura could run. Stuff like that shows how important legacy and nurturing the next generation is. If youre an older player, trainer, or former player, make sure to do something to pass your knowledge along to the next generation, no matter how small. You never know who you might end up inspiring to be the next great.

I love how people are acting like this guy is from another planet or something. Now you young fans will see why 90’s basketball was the best era. This guy is a basic pg in the 90’s . Not to discredit him because he’s very fluid but this is JKidd, Magic,Nash and honestly every team had someone like him . His defense is sound as well . Oldheads know their ball. If they brought back defense you might have 90’s basketball. So now imagine a guy who was dunking and stealing , blocking and you couldn’t stop him ?? That’s MJ. Idk probably some will still say some silly shh. But this kid is a throwback.

None of those guys were 5’8” Japanese 23 year olds lol
@richardrojas57962 ай бұрын
@@ByAnyMeansBasketball no they weren’t . So do you think he would have dominated back then ? Or would he have been just another player ? There was tougher defense and taller point guards. He has great passing but it wasn’t anything special back then . This is why it’s so shocking today . There’s more role players or specialist now. No pure points, he’s very unselfish and looking for the best shot or open guy . He would fit right in back then . It was more team ball , not look for your own shot or jack a 3. He can shoot as well . He’s like a blend but he’s more of a pure point. If he was taller it might hurt his game or make it better who knows . But your seeing someone that played very similar to the points of old. That’s why he’s so successful. It’s fundamental basketball at its finest . He reminds me of Kidd, Nash, Rod and white chocolate. All 90’s pg’s. He’s good no doubt but you’re looking at a 90’s style team first , open man finding guy. Not the showboating or me first style you see today .
