I’m in my 70s now, and watching this reminds me how fast it goes. I’ve been disabled for a long time, and it takes so much humility to ask for help. Johnny has that humility. All of us would rather do… It’s very hard to accept or have to ask for help. But it gives us the opportunity to help someone else feel closer to God and be helpful. God bless anyone who reads this.

Sometimes people come into our life for a brief moment, but leave a huge impact in our life. In February 1983, I was flying to Ohio to bury my mother. With me were my young children and husband. My daughter was 6 years old at the time and really didn't understand why I was so sad. Our plane stopped in Newark NJ, as passengers were departing the plane, my daughter would say good bye to them. Most just smiled at her and kept moving a long. All except one kind gentleman, who stopped to speak with her, as I looked up, I realized it was the one and only Mr. Johnny Cash. Mr. Cash took a few moments of his time to speak with my daughter. I must say the kindness he showed to her filled my heart beyond words. I have never forgotten that moment. Such a beautiful, kind and loving human being ❤️

Apparently the 596 dislikes have no idea when they’re listening to greatness! Not only a great song writer, Mr Cash was also a great human being especially in his latter years. His music is inspiring, heartfelt and deep! I really enjoy his last few songs he wrote and played! What a great Christian at least in his last few years!! A person can learn a lot from the good and bad Johnny Cash lived!!
@borat73382 жыл бұрын
Greatness my ass, apparently you had no problem with him abusing drugs and the way he treated women wasn't exactly very nice at all. It's like this, John R. Cash made the choices that he made and they caught up with him, ya can't treat others like crap and expect to live a happy healthy life point blank. So if people chose to thumbs down it oh well they had their reasons just like you have your reasons to be a boot licking Cash fan. To each their own, deal with it and stop whining like a baby!
@dfighternelams63872 жыл бұрын
First off I’m not whining about anything, merely expressing my opinion just like you did. As for a “ Boot licking Cash fan “ I’m a fan of great lyrics and the people who write them! I agree with your comments about his life, you reap what you sow! More than some, not as many as others, I’ve sown my share of bad seeds but I’ve also changed in the last 30+ years. What I meant was people could leave from him, what to do and what not to do, how to live and how not to live, a person could learn a lot from him!

He said hey there little lady! Which one of my songs is your favorite? I said all of them ! He told us June was in an antique store across the street. We walked over and said hello and I got both of their autographs! It was so exciting! He was a tall man with a studious presence! He had huge hands as I remember when he shook my tiny little hand. A deep bellowing voice I’ll never forget it. June was as sweet and country and so nice. It’s one of my fondest memories as a child at Wallace’s news stand.

When Johnny was so fragile, helped to the stage and appearing so weak, I stopped breathing until he was seated. THEN!!! He picked up his guitar, introduced himself with that comforting and strong "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash", He proved that even in his time of grave challenges, his hands still looked young and his fingers could still strum with the rest of them , and better! Until the "End", he delivered. The way he played here and sang, was nothing short of Miraculous. There IS NO END to Johnny Cash! His Legacy of great music, facing hardship, raw insight, wisdom and yes LOVE, will live on as he Rests in Peace along side of his Beloved June. His hand had trouble holding the water bottle but became strong when he played so well, his guitar. Even the "gravel" in his voice" was no deterrent to the joy of watching and listening to this Beautiful Man sing and play for the last time. Sigh!

This man is a genius. Only once every couple of hundred years does someone like this come along. Even at the age he is in this video, you can see he made it through this gig with his raw talent. It's amazing to see his eyes light up during this performance. Before he started to make his way to the mic to sing, I saw fear in his eyes. Once he realized that he can still do it, a light bulb went off in his head. "I Walk The Line" is a very hard song to sing because the lead vocal come in on the back beat. He knew exactly when to come in because he was strumming his guitar with the strings deadened. "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is also amazing! He is an amazing, talented, prolific, courageous, gifted performer. He used every trick he knew to make it through this gig. I learned a lot watching this. GOD BLESS JOHNNY CASH!

I'm sobbing, watching this today. Such a powerful and moving piece of work, seeing the juxtaposition of Johnny from many years ago and then seeing him months before his passing is heart-wrenching and bittersweet. We only have one life to live.. I miss the good old days when we had the best of country music, miss all the legends that we've lost. this song reminds me of so many people. RIP Johnny.

His humility, still playing despite not being physically fit is outstanding. He still sounds amazing and his playing right on tune. Delighted to have came across this. Very special to watch his last and such an extremely emotional performance. I listened to his gospel music in particular after my gran passed. Thank you Johnny for the music 🎶

How could anyone dislike this? Brought tears to my eyes to see a man who spent his entire life in the spotlight giving us his best even in his last days. So much respect and admiration for Johnny Cash. God Blessed him for certain.

People that dislike this are of the evil one. Cold and full of darkness. That seems to be getting stronger these days. But the light still shines on!!

Trust me. Ignore the ignorance of those who apparently don’t understand him but will quickly leave a harsh comment full of ignorance I don’t welcome these people. I say to myself Let go ! Let God! U can’t fight those who have nasty hearts so Hope this helps. Say. Let it go! Let God! Ty

No-life activist groups AntiFa and BLM are trying to out Cash's music as white privilege, capitalist, and pro-fascist and whatever other drivel they come up with these days

There have been so many legends in country music over the years..Waylon,Willie, George,Merle,Conway..the list goes on.But the man in black stands alone.I personally believe that Jonny Cash is the greatest country western singer, entertainer of all time.May you rest in total peace and tranquility legend😔🎶🇺🇲

I put Willie alongside him, because he did every single genre of music that exists, except for hip-hop and metal, and he did it succesfully. And he's a great songwriter. But you're right in general.

I loved this man. As a child his music was playing everywhere we went. His music makes me smile because I had loved ones around me as we sang with him.
