Love everything about this. From concept, to plan, to execution, and how the whole team worked together to bring it to life. Great job BYU team.

Love to see all the input from members of the BYU photographic team. The whole process in initiating & planning the concept from start to finish was quite remarkable. Thank you for sharing your video with the photographic community.😊🙏

BYU Photo continues to raise the bar. Not only are the images and shots so incredible, but love the behind the scenes look at the work and preparation that goes into each photograph. Jaren, Nate and their team have skills and talents to work and improve with each photo shoot. Jaren making that many sheets of sugar glass! Who knew that kitchen skills would be required to produce amazing photos. Can't wait to see what they cook up next.

I have a question about this great video. What settings did you use for the focus? Did you predetermine the focus length and leave it set for the shot or was it an autofocus? The subject enters so fast that if I had to guess I would say the focus was locked in advance.
@byuphoto3 ай бұрын
Yes, we set focus beforehand and left it on manual.

That arm needs to finish the swim motion to the left after he bust through the glass. Leaving it stationary seems odd. The right arm could come forward as he busts through as well to show the real motion. Obviously I dont know your business as you do but this looked fun for you.
@byuphoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, the reason to keep it stationary was so the helmet didn't move. Makes for a better still photo, but not a video.
