Combining exercises is an amazing way to destroy your body and maximize how many calories you can burn in a short amount of time. This routine will put your endurance to the test as you tackle four combos that were created to target your upper and lower body. The goal is to complete three rounds as fast as possible! Keep track of how long it takes you to complete all three rounds and try to beat your score every time you attempt this routine! #HTH

Hey Scott, just curious about why you don't try to compete in crossfit. Most of the workouts that you do are "crossfit style" routines, and you could probably compete at the same level as the top guys. Seems like your only big weak point would the oly lifts

Oh wow Scott this looks very intense. This week I changed up my workout to get more lean and lose fat. I go to the gym 3 times a week, start with HIIT for 15 min then go to a full body workout. Should I stick that or switch up with the combo breaker? Or maybe mix and match ?

Hey Scott, Combined the combo breaker circuit above with a initial session of 'four sets until failure' workout too, safe to say I am hurting today, thanks for a great circuit really worked the entire body. If anyone is interested here is what I did: 4 x sets of each until failure Pull ups Chin ups Inverted rows (with feet elevated on a box) Establish technique then 4 x sets until failure Thrusters Circuit x 3 rounds no stopping Bent-Over Dumbbell Row INTO Dumbbell Fly (15 reps) Push-Up INTO Diamond Push-Up (10 reps) Floor Crunch INTO Advanced Toe Driver (15 reps) Burpee INTO Air Squat (10 reps)

I have completed it in 13:57 more or less, I realized that I should adjust my Floor Crunch INTO Advanced Toe Driver as soon as I begin with the 2nd round.. Thanks for this Scott! I've been looking for advanced HIIT sessions to boost metablosim and fat burning before my workouts and this did the trick. I'm yet to master the advanced toe driver as I can't seem to find balance despite an above average core strength-wise. Thanks for all that you do for us.

That depends on a lot of factors. can't say what it would do for you. But if you feel like its not intense enough.. add more rounds :)

I think he has answered this and I believe it is a no. He makes lean gains, meaning he probably eats roughly his maintenance calories. Contrary to belief you don't need to eat your heart out to build muscle. When you work out you obviously are destroying your muscle, and in order for it to repair it requires amino acids aka protein. You don't need carbs. However, carbs are what gives you the energy in the gym to push yourself harder to make more gains. In my opinion bulking and cutting is a waste and torture. You will feeling amazingly strong during bulks but when you cut you become exponentially weaker and risk losing some gains. By fitting high protein and moderate amount of carbs you can build muscle without the fat. Of course i am not qualified whatsoever, this is just what i'v noticed over the years. And i'm proud to say I have put on a good ~20lbs in little over year without the body fat. In fact, I may have even lost some body fat. That was of course when I first started so it was much easier to put on so much muscle. As I gain more it will begin to plateau.

Benjamin Pattee Right on. I focus on lean gains. I see not point in bulking.. to me that is just getting FAT. why gain 30 pounds to lose 25 later in a "cut". At this point in my life I will only naturally gain about 4-5 pounds of solid muscle a year. #natty for life!

+David Harris It is not possible to lose "belly fat" but it is possible to lose fat in general. People need to get out of the mind set that they can remove fat from a specific part of the body because they can't. That's not how it works. People do ab exercises thinking they're "burning stomach fat" because they feel a burn in their abs. That doesn't consume even nearly as much energy as strenuous cardio. And it is the energy consumption that makes you lose fat (duh). And when you start to lose that fat you lose it uniformly throughout the whole body.
