Born in 72 and this was my favorite movie as kid. Started driving in 97, had 25 years of a great career/life! No regrets! Didn't get rich, but I felt like I lived. Got to drive an 80's Mack for a summer. That thing was awesome!

i think the movie came out around 1978 it was a great movie, wounderful actors, beautiful trucks of the time , CW Mcall sang so great he was the ideal singer for this movie ,well done to all involved , alot of time and money invested in it at the time , god bless truckers ,,greetings from ireland

MichaelTJD60 there were actually 2 different songs. The first song was released i. 1976 but in 1978 the movie was made based off of the song. (Ps love your channel)

The original 1975 version had Sodbuster in it. This movie was made in 78 based on the song, so the lyrics were changed to fit the story of the movie.

Mack's are too still and uncomfortable for the roads but good work horses I've driven old Freightliner in cabover and classic, Peterbuilt, Mack's, Kenworth and an international. Personally my favorite is the Kenworth T800 or W900 I currently have a w900 with an 8v92T
