High end had "side bands" channels between normal channels so a 40 channel could have 120 channels. But very few had side band CB. If you were not around then, they were kind of like a cell phone, but you could only talk to people close to you. Channel 19 was a channel people kept tuned to. Remember this song when I was a kid growing up in the states. It was absolutely massive, at least in the South where I was. Good days they were, before all this political correctness, social justice, and cancel culture s***.

A week and a half ago, my wife and I were on holiday in logging country in beautiful South West Tasmania, Australia. And you wouldnt believe it, but we had ... "Twas the dark of the moon, on a sixth of June, in a Kenworth, haulin' logs" LOL.

Back in 2002 had a chance to be in a convoy, what a beautiful view, hundreds of trucks, while pulling a set of doubles with a freightliner. I was yeeeeeha 🤠

My big wish is that someday they'd revisit this movie and give us the movie a more sober Sam Peckinpah would've given us. Legend has it he shot enough footage for three films but once he was fired and the studio took over, they hacked the film to pieces, re-shot a bunch of scenes and simplified the movie to the point that it really has no story. Any of the socio-political stuff was cut, The Duck's backstory was cut, several scenes explaining why Ernest Borgnines' character was such an asshole was cut.... It almost got the Two-Lane Blacktop treatment. Would love to see the stuff Peckinpah shot.
