@@Toys4Life incredible. I have a buddy with a beautifully built and tuned 350Z, and it does similar horsepower number but not until 20+ psi. Your c5 horn draws 20-30 amps alone with a 20-30 second recovery time at 1200 rpms so next time engage seat belt behind the seat and shut the door as every little bit helps , ps it's bade enough the front parking lights are on with a 8-10 amp draw ....

I will sound like a broken record. Those are fantastic numbers for a basically stock LS1. Nice to see shops still doing rentals. I hope to do something similar with my car in the near future, but I refuse to pay 600 dollars for a car that is already street tuned. Just need a little flexibility.
@Toys4Life2 жыл бұрын
Yeah if you lived here, you can get in there get strapped up and get your business done in an hour for about $190 bucks on a weekday evening. Curious, where do the $600 figure come from and what would that include in your area?
@PNW_Car_Mods2 жыл бұрын
@@Toys4Life In my area I would say an average dyno tune will start around 400. Cam swap tunes will be 550 to 600. Boost only is around 500. Boost plus heavily modded engine can be well over 600. The problem and I've experienced it first hand on multiple cars is that they rarely fully tune the car in a given 2 or 3 hour session. So you just paid a metric ton of money for a half assed job that may or may not run and drive well. I've got a few leads on some shops around here that are less than 200 miles away that will hopefully be willing to work with me some where in between a rental and a full dyno tune. In a perfect world my car would still benefit greatly from getting some slow speed parking lot manners dialed in on a loaded dyno.

I may have missed it, is your tune scaled? Mine runs off the bottom row of the timing table. It hits 1.4 g/s air mass somewhere around 4500 wide open. I've got mine capped at 12 degrees, so I lose out on some midrange. But with 592hp and 520tq I can't be too mad, it pulls strong.
@Toys4Life Жыл бұрын
My tune is not scaled. I just checked the scan and I also hit the 1.4 g/s row in the 585rwhp pull I did. Timing advance at 5600 RPMS was 18 degrees. @Toys4Life7 ай бұрын
I did not. Why? Before buying the kit I read extensively every thread I could find about going with a 2 bar MAP and modifying the tune vs ravaging the PE in the stock tune. A&A has had good luck with the 2nd method. I decided to try method 2 and if it wasn't meeting my needs - or- if I found my AFR was not staying where I wanted it at WOT - THEN I would go to a 2 bar tune. I keep a very close eye on AFR's and over the past 5 years it has always been very close to the AFR I desired at WOT. So, I see no reason to do so with my setup - although I may do it anyways so that I can log boost.
