Hard to answer as it depends on how you plan to use either Vette. If you are big into tracking, it has to be the Z06. If you are not, then the Stingray is the answer. Now, ask this question once we have the E-Ray out and it will be harder to answer, especially between the E-Ray and the Z06). Will the E-Ray be worth $40K over a Stingray -- I doubt it and I am on an E-Ray list. I have a real hard time trying to justify the extra $40K for an E-Ray. Time will tell.

99% of people have no use for the Z06 other than getting their ego stroked at car meets. It’s a trophy to them, nothing more. How often do you track your car Justin? Never? I’ve only seen you race it one time against Mike. Then what’s the point of owning a ZR1 other than to have the top trim? Not trying to be a dick, just saying. You fall into that same trophy item demographic.

I plan on selling my 2022 Corvette Stingray in 3 years and buying a Corvette C8 Z06 because It Is a Beast and I Want the Extra horsepower and Better sounding exhaust note !!! ;) Peace~

Surely you, as a self-professed money expert, understand this. 40k is a lot of track days, consumables, and necessary prep (5 point harness, chassis stiffening, appropriate seat, fluids, etc). Or an entire second daily. $40k is also twice the cost of Procharger’s Stage II Supercharger, which adds significantly more cooling and horsepower than the Z06. Point being: the Z06 isn’t a super compelling way to spend $40k extra on a C8, given the other options. I’d rather a Stingray with ~80-100 extra track days than the Z06 as a pavement princess. What’s the point of these cars if you don’t take them out to run them hard?

I’ve been searching for a comparison video and this is a great one so thank you. The Z06 is amazing but I’m not ashamed to say that’s its out of my price range lol. I plan on ordering a 24 2LT. When to the Corvette museum to tour the plant last month and I can’t wait til it’s my turn to hold the keys of a C8 Corvette.

I just got my Z06 in the new color option for 2024 in Riptide Blue. It’s an amazing color. If you haven’t driven a Z06 you may think the price difference may not be justified. After driving my new Z06 I absolutely think the price is appropriate. It doesn’t feel like a Vette honestly, and I’m still in break in mode. GM did one hell of a job creating a true super with the Z06 in my opinion. I can’t wait to hear it rev to 8,600 RPM in another 240 miles!!! Great video breaking down the difference in looks!!!

Nice work but I wish I could get my hands on the Z06 that I want. The stealerships in North IL. want to put a 100K surcharge on the cars as a minimum.. The worst being Golf Mill that would get the lowest level Z06 and auction it off to the highest bidder? Is this what Chevy wants, if so that's pathetic. The best real dealership is Leach Wilson in Shelbyville IL. who is willing to sell the car at MSRP. Aaron at the dealership is an awesome sales rep. Anyway I've been trying to buy a Vette since I was 16, and now that I have the financial stability and have raised the kids, I can't get the car I've always dreamt of. Chevy do what you said you would do, get the allocations to the dealers that want to sell the cars, not the stealers that are fleecing YOUR customers.

Thank You for the video. You are correct! I own a Torch red 2021 C8 I paid $63k brand new. It is my first Corvette. I have a Z06 on order with my guy. In my neighborhood C8 Z06s are already the norm over the past few months.I have counted 6 different colors and a few more coupes than convertibles. They look almost identical to mine... The center exhaust and side intake are the 2 ways I know it's a new Z06.. I roll down the window and the sound is not noticeable as well. It makes me sad. I think my next car will be a 2024 McLaren GT. McLaren dealer here will order me a car spec'd to my liking for less than a new Z06.... 3 year warranty on the McLaren thank God

If you are being serious, you should look at a McLaren Certified GTs available now, not new. The new Mac GT will take a depreciation hit that exceeds the cost of your C8 within a year. Certified warranty is around $600/month for up to 10 years. The C8Z at MSRP is a better value, but not for $60-80k over sticker.

This is Michael. Bad move with the McLaren. I looked at a 2024 GT and it's plain and unexciting. The interior is nowhere near as comfortable or as driver oriented either. It's a waste of money for Less Car. The 720s is nice but more money. I still prefer the Corvette over it

Worst mistake ever GM made was not making the C8R Stingray more hardcore of a track oriented car, BECAUSE ITS EASY TO DO with the C8 series cars. It dosent cost a arm and a leg to do it either, and Paragon is proving it. The aftermarket parts ARE ALL THERE for people that actually realize what they are buying. Of course it wont be as quick as a Z06 on track, BUT WHO ACTUALLY CARES at that level of performance? The Z06 looks meaner because it is meaner, but im still not so sure driving that thing in traffic isnt a exercise in futility.

I do not like the C8s ! but saying that , I would definitely choose the Z06 , it may be 40,000 additional dollars and that’s a lot of money but I think that it will hold its value in the long run significantly better than the Stingray PS. I have the PRO CLIP and it’s very nice and fits well in my C7 Grand sport !
