Nice and interesting local cab ride with ending at STYLIS . This city is located at the.bortom of the gulf "maliaque" (?) or lamia. The island of Eubee is very close.Sunny day but can be stormy later.

Somebody once calculated for the old Peloponnesian Railway that it would have been cheaper to send the few passengers by taxi than run trains to carry them; I have a feeling that this line is so peaceful that it could, sadly, be true here too.

@@titup2 Video was filmed yesterday. This line is subsidised by our goverment's social policy for the provision of services to a wide area of locals. It's very unlikely to close. But I know what you mean and obviously nobody is sure that will remain so. Thank you :-)

I like this one. With the frequent halts in the city area in the first half of the video, it almost seems like a tram-train. :) It's a pity, that you see hardly any passengers. From what I see (judging from your videos), Greece's trains are having a comeback for the last couple of years now. I can imagine, that it's now extremely difficult to convince the people to actually use them instead of their cars. I hope, your politicians have enough will-power to see through that transition.

Thank you Lucio! The trains may have some prospects, especially with the new ETR 470 when it will probably be put into service next March, but in general the railways are disappointing the Greek public. There are some lines suspended, some run by buses and some will close. One can hardly believe that there is some development as in other countries ... Unfortunately my friend :-(

Πρώτα από όλα εύγε για το βίντεο, το οποίο είναι πολύ αποκαλυπτικό: Από τον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό Λειανοκλαδίου ως τον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό της Λαμίας η γραμμή διέρχεται από κατοικίες και επιχειρήσεις, ενώ ήδη υφίστανται ενδιάμεσα τέσσερις στάσεις. Πρόκειται για άρτια προαστιακή σιδηροδρομική γραμμή η οποία τουλάχιστον σε πρώτη φάση μέχρι τη Λαμία πρέπει να ηλεκτροκινηθεί (η γνώμη μου είναι μέχρι τη Στυλίδα) να κατασκευαστούν μία ή δύο γραμμές διακλάδωσης και φυσικά περισσότερες στάσεις και να λειτουργήσει ως προαστιακός σιδηρόδρομος, όπως ακριβώς μεταξύ Πάτρας και Ρίου με συχνότητα δρομολογίου ανά 10 min, αφού τόσο περίπου κάνει το τραίνο να φτάσει από το Λειανοκλάδι στη Λαμία. Αυτό το προαστιακό δρομολόγιο πρέπει να επεκταθεί έως κάτι αποθήκες (βλέπε βίντεο από το 11΄και 11΄΄ κι έπειτα) για την εξυπηρέτηση των κατοικιών εκατέρωθεν της γραμμής, οι οποίες ερεθίσω εν παρόδω διαθέτουν σιδηροδρομικές γραμμές αλλά από τις οποίες έχουν αφαιρεθεί τα ψαλίδια. Να λοιπόν ένα σημείο logistics το οποίο θα εξυπηρετούσε ολόκληρη της Στερεά Ελλάδα. Επομένως απλά οι αρμόδιοι των σιδηροδρόμων και οι πολιτικοί προϊστάμενοί τους κάνουν ότι δεν γνωρίζουν...
