yeah full build for me took from 5pm - 4am including cable management (which is torture for this case although it does manage it well, the set up is pure pain) and because i don't have a modular PSU so it was difficult. worth it though, the end product is now beautiful and worth the money
@craddical4 жыл бұрын
What took so long on the setup? Not being critical, actually curious.
@user-ki3ks4fd6i4 жыл бұрын
@@craddical installation of parts doesnt take that long, probably like 2-3 hours but its the cable management that took forever. also i had some harddrive cable issues that needed to be troubleshooted
@craddical4 жыл бұрын
@@user-ki3ks4fd6i Ah. I was going to start the swap into the new case tonight, but I realized last minute the fans they include with the case are no LL. So had to 1 day Amazon a second set.Looks like tomorrow evening or Saturday.
@user-ki3ks4fd6i4 жыл бұрын
@@craddical best to save it for a friday night or weekend imo in case you have work on weekdays. also just FYI, you cant connect 2 types of fans into the same RGB connector that the case comes with. if you bought 3 LL120 for example like me, and you plug them into the rgb connector with the 3 SP120s the case comes with, only the LL fans will light up, not the SP fans. you essentially need 6 LL fans. kind of BS marketing move by corsair imo

I put my pc together in this case and did next to no cable management.. now that i am going to have to re do it.. i am really struggling with what to do with the front mounted cables on the motherboard.. i have like 5/6 at the bottom, multiple on the sides along with cables coming off the aio and fan power cables.. if i rout them all up the way it just looks like a cably mess still.. i am thinking i might be able to rout some up and some out off the front off the board in a sleeve but yeah its not looking great any way i do it

@pcpartpicker What custom cable lengths did you use or would recommend for this case? I am using a evga supernova 1600 g2 in here and will be putting in 2 x 2080 TI MSI Gaming X Trio cards (6 PCIE cables). It was a challenge fitting 4 PCIE cables with my 2 x 980s and the 24 pin default PSU cables due to the thickness and length, therefore I am trying to determine what lengths I should order from cable mod to better manage the cables.
@Justin-09916 жыл бұрын
Awesome. I cannot wait to upgrade/downgrade my PC from my massive EVGA DG-86 Case to this awesome smaller 570x case. Looks really easy to cable manage and fit everything in nice and easy.

I like this build and would like to try it... The RAM from the PCPartPicker parts list doesn't show-up on the QVL for the ASRock MB, yet the RAM RGB seems to function just fine. Is it snyc'd with the ASRock RGB software? Or the Corsair software? And Corsair has come out with 'newer" RAM since this video. I'm a noob with RGB.... Should I pay too much attention to the QVL for these name brand parts?

I spent a good 2 hours running all my Cablemod custom cables and had it looking SUPERB ...then the damned cable management "channel" thingy didn't fit!!! I was so pissed lol. Does anyone make a slightly larger channel thingy for this beauty maybe one that a little more square up and not tapered?? Just those few millimeters could make a world of difference.
@ultimomos59186 жыл бұрын
I'm in the same boat buddy lol. I'm doing a big upgrade next month (cpu, moba, ram and prolly new case fans/aio cooler) and I still can't get the damn cable channel to fit. Can't imagine how much harder its going to be with all the new rgb fans >_< Still though, This case is goddamned beautiful. Gonna look so good and be so worth it after
@stevenstroud62456 жыл бұрын
It really is, even with the compromises I had to make! I'm thinking I may try my hand at making a modded channel myself. If it turns out alright I may post it on overclock.net, in the corsair crystal owners club or something.
@stevenstroud62456 жыл бұрын
Yeah the RGB fans make it that much "funner" lol. I was even thinking of going push/pull with my front 360mm aio... lol but damn just imagine dealing with 9 friggin fans smh I'll figure something out for that too, but for now it's just 3 front fans pushing, and the 3 exhaust

That is absolutely atrocious cable management in this system.. I have cable extensions, a commander pro, 2x HDDs, 2x SSDs, the RGB fan controller, and another two controllers for other peripherals in my 570x and am able to hide damn near every cable well enough to make it not look like a rats nest.. There are also these amazing things called cable combs.. Get some. And I'd say sorry for being blunt and rude but you know better man.

As careful as you guys are about static electricity I'm shocked to see you remove plastic wrap on a running pc. That's just ASKING for discharge. Supposed to remove that stuff with panels off the pc or before components go in. But ofcourse you know that. Come on guys! Still... that cable management looked great and what a beautiful build. Now you just need some cable combs or better yet some custom cable lacing.
