Cadac Carri Chef gas grill broken leg repair safe and strong...

How to repair an earlier Cadac Carri chef Gas Barbecue's two piece aluminium legs....No spares available obsolete but still effective unit has a great ribbed one side for steaks etc and smooth side for bacon and eggs etc hot plate...great bit of kit for camping outdoor etc..

there seems to be a lot of variations on the old carri chef models.. mine is a carri chef 1 meaning none of the carri chef 2 parts fit it, but mine has one-piece legs that screw on and the igniter is part of the gas control knob like the carri chef 2. i bought it in 2006, don't know when the design changed to the carri chef 2. cadac is not very common in north america, i have one because rei sold them for a short time and i bought mine when it was on closeout sale for a very low price. as far as i know, the carri chef 2 is no longer sold here.

Hello marzsit..... thanks for the comment they are great grills pretty common in Europe.. I always have a good look round outdoor/camping stores when I've been to the US...and never seen them.... the lack of spares is a bit annoying I guess they want you to buy a new one! the old built in obsolescence surely one of the world's problems with waste..!
