I've been rooting for Dylan O'Brien since his Teen Wolf days, he was a mad talent even then. Love seeing him get work, and I agree with Chris, I think he's got the skill to make it as a mega-star if the right project comes along.

It actually might've been my least favourite O'Brien performance, he never looked quite comfortable in that role, and that accent sounded amateurish It looked particularly bad when Johnny Flynn (someone who's not only British, but had never even done an American accent before) completely outshined him

Huge Dylan O'Brien fan. I don't understand how he's not more popular. He's always been phenomenal at conveying so much emotion with no words. He always bring his all to his performances, and he's a stud - all the makings of Hollywood's next big lead man. I don't know what the hang-up is! I'll definitely be checking this one out! Update: I watched it and was blown away. Biggest sleeper hit film I've seen in a long time. A lot more people need to see it to appreciate it. I still can't wrap my head around what I watched!

You do know Chris didnt like the movie, right? Thats why he didnt review it because he doesnt want to talk trash about garbage movies. He is that ``honest``. He will see a lot of movies, but he will talk only about those he likes, disresecting his audience which deserves to hear his opinion on all kinds of movies. But, on the other habd, him not reviewing a movie it`s the same thing as reviewing and saying it`s bad because we know that he avoids reviewing a movie he thinks that movie it`s bad. As other people already said, he is a sellout, a spineless man, doenst have the balls to talk about movies fearing he will upset people in Hollywood of which he is not a part of. He lost all credibility and respect of smart people.

I just watched it, and I'm fairly picky about the movies I watch. And now, while Dylan O'Brien is one of those actors that I will watch anything he's in, just because he's in it. So yes, this is definitely a case of, I saw Dylan O'Brien so I clicked. But I went into this movie genuinely thinking one thing. Went in thinking I'd like it but basically that would be it. My mind was absolutely blown. Every assumption and expectation flipped right on it's head. And this is without a doubt one of the best movies I've ever seen. Hands down. And yes it is in large part because of Dylans performance, but if anyone knows anything about that man, it's that he can absolutely carry a movie (or an entire TV series for that matter. We all know what I'm talking about don't play with me). But this really turned into one of those movies, where I sat down for the lead and literally stayed for the movie itself, the story, the theme, the concept. The everything. I'm still sort of in shock, can't exactly organize my thoughts... but to say phenomenal movie. And EVERYONE should definitely check it out, literally whether you follow Dylan O'Briens work or not. Just watch it, you will not regret it at all.

I just watched this the other night and I was blown away. I don't always click with Chris' take on movies, but for this one I agree 100%. I kind of loved this movie. The way all the pieces come together in the end, even though it's dripping in tragedy was amazing. I haven't had a film make me feel like I had to work my way though a really tight mystery in forever and this one nailed it. I don't think this movie is getting the acclaim it deserves, but this is going to be a huge cult classic.

I just finished the movie, I really enjoyed it. I love Southern supernatural, gothic, thriller, horror. I think for me, there’s very little rewatch-ability because my husband and I called the “twist” in the middle of the movie. The clues were laid out pretty clearly, and once a certain phrase comes out of a character’s mouth, it clicked for us. We both looked at each other and basically predicted the entire plot from beginning to end, which ended up being true. It’s not a “Sixth Sense” twist at the end very end and now you want to rewatch to catch the clues. At least that’s how it was for me (not speaking for everyone). Besides that critique, the acting was stellar and the atmosphere was so spooky. It’s a good October watch!

I've watched in some time , and just like you said… I actually found myself working my way through the scenarios and thought damn… They did this very clean. Usually movies that venture into the realm they played with leave me unsatisfied at the end. I thought they did a clean job for the viewer and for the characters. I'm kind of an M night, fanboy accidentally, so finding out in your video that he produced it, and hasn't produced someone outside of his own family movie since the devil definitely points to why I noticed this golden lighting shining through even after I finish the movie.

You mentioned it in the review so I'm not considering this spoilers, but I was really shocked (in a good way, I guess) just how sad the movie is. From the moment a certain character starts researching yearbooks (vague as possible) until the ending, I was really affected by where the movie was going. And the final scene is an absolute hay-maker of a gut punch. It's never oppressive, but I like that the movie embraces its own tragic plot.

Glad you found a movie you felt was made FOR YOU in Caddo Lake! That's how I felt with Lisa Frankenstein earlier this year!

Just watched. An enjoyable movie experience. Similar to Coherence and similar vibe to The Endless. Nice find

watched it today, went in blind simply based on recommendations, had no idea what the theme is, except ''i will like it'', and i did and didn't, since i was pleased with the material but it was overwhelming to say the least. This is one of those movies that i need to watch again and put 1 and 1 together to notice the reality, so that is pretty clever .

I think a second part would be amazing! It could explain all the time switching anomaly. And we could watch more Dylan O'brien. 😊

I watched this movie on MAX and had no idea what it was about so I knew NOTHING about it at all going in. I saw it had Dylan in it, and he is one of the most underrated male actors of this generation IMO, so I made sure to watch it..and wow, was I blown away. I literally had to get some scratch paper out and make a map to understand the mystery...I recommend the movie if you like deep, slow evolving mysteries that really make you think.

I had to pause in that moment too. and i even forgot that i saw this review weeks ago before seeing it. the "twist" was even ruined for me but i still hadnt seen a trailer when i finally got a chance to watch it. So even knowing that it was "that kind of movie" I was still so wrapped up in it. Its totally my favorite kind of story like this.
