normally these kind of treatments needs to be done before u get ur cdc , that will be towards the end of ur course( or before u join ur first ship). u may ask the sponsoring company or the institute if they have any special requirement to get it done before getting admitted for the course.

What I know is you need regular 10+2 in science . People with commerce background can go for DG Shipping approved gp rating course from any DG Shipping approved institute to join as a deck rating . Once you gain 36 months sea service you can appear for 2nd mate exam to earn the licence.
