I had to throw out my clay pots from Mexico. Pediatrician told me they have lead in them. Do you use lead free clay pots?
@Viewsontheroad5 жыл бұрын
I get a little irritated with people spreading these type of lies. If you had your clay pots from your abuelita, then, yes, maybe they had lead. My clay pots are stamped by the artist with a certificate and guarantee they are lead-free. In addition, to me purchasing a lead kit to test. Just in case...I promise you I would never put my family in danger. Let alone poison them with lead.
@OrchidBeauty7775 жыл бұрын
@@Viewsontheroad I wasn't implying your pots aren't lead free. I loved my clay pots. My beans came out so much better and my brother made the best Palomas out of clay cups. Could you tell me where to purchase clay pots you use?
@Viewsontheroad5 жыл бұрын
@@OrchidBeauty777 Yes, In Mexicali, Jalisco, and Oaxaca. Lately, I've been using the pots my mother purchased from the artisan M.B. Tonala Jalisco., MX. You must specify you are using the pots for food. Amazon sells lead detection kits you can take them with you at the time of purchase to test on-site🤗

I've made this cafe 3 times before, and the best I had ever gotten it done was using a wooden spoon, and really letting the canela do it's thing in the boiling water. My worst fail was using an acrylic spoon and ladel, with a nonstick pan.. I don't think I let the canela really release it's flavor then either.. But I highly recommend following Steph's directions to the T for best flavor 🙌 my family LOVED the best batch! 💜 Thank you ladies
