Me too, it's currently -6⁰C here in England, I love the Australian countryside and it looks beautiful...one day I will visit, but it's a whole shitload of moolah to get there and for the same amount I could have a dozen Greek holidays, also well into the 40s. Bruce Bruce! :) So wondering with indoor drains like this and I have watched numerous other videos of yours (random order) lately.... Is there not a device out there you can include in your go bag which would form a bit of a dam around the drain so that when the muck comes up, it doesn't spread all over the floor leaving a bigger clean up later? I remember as a kid (in the USA) a toy called a Water Weenie for example, you could fill it with water and it was like a snake of water at that point. Tie the ends together and that would be small dam. I've also seen full on Flood Prevention devices which are like 5 foot diameter versions of the same to protect your home from floods. I imagine something in the middle for you, maybe 8-12 inches diameter, and you can use the water inside when you are done to flush the drain 1 last time.
