I have a 6 foot and a 10 foot grabber. You can only imagine the things i pull out of the vent. (inspection port) People are sometimes stupid, in that they drop items in the vent, thinking it is funny. They don' think of the trouble that they cause the owner. Great video. The only thing that puzzles me is that you do not seem to carry a full set of rods, had you done so you may have been able to use the worm or gulley grabs! All UK plumbers have at least one set.

Once upon a time there was a 'corkscrew'-like attachment for drain rods. I think something like this would enable have enabled you to kind of screw into the bottle and drag it up and out.

On seeing the problem thats the first thing that came to mind, in the UK its called a pigs tail I believe, like a large corkscrew. It could be used to puncture the bottle and drag it upwards.

There is this fellow Australian drain unblocker. . He carries a ( I think it's attached to a stiff / thick walled pipe.) large shark hook. Also it might have the barb cut / ground off but still has the point. He has used it a couple times. You might have been able to go past it and pierce the bottle. But you did get it with what you had and put together. I'm sorry for sounding like I'm telling you how to do it. I'm just trying to give you more tools. Tools ideas Good luck on the next unblocking Tom Hahaha
