Never a disappointment on anything that you make Dan , you could store the practice subframe till a later date as it will be made to your usual standard so no way will that be inferior. I'm never suprised at some comments on KZbin but that one about the exhaust melting is up there with epic lol . Looking forward to the next vid and yes still perfect for a Sunday brekkie watch . Hey mate, why not use chrome molly steel for these parts . I would think that's what they are made of originally and you can then make the parts using thinner wall tube that's easier to work with.

You've come along way, my Aussie friend! It's an impressive garage you've put together. And knowledge! Nice to see. Now that you're designing subframes and such things, maybe a "lesson" in material, size and such for coping with stress from riding the bike. We're not building a tank, it's a bike! But still have to carry a person around a bend in 100km/h. or so. Just a thought!

In another one of your videos you said something along the lines of, "if you don't buy the right tools, you're going to end up spending the money you would've spent on the tool and your not going to have a result that you're happy with". I have some projects in my head that I'd like to make a reality and I'd like to use some of the same techniques you use, but I don't have the space or the money for all the extra tools. Should I wait until I have the extra money and space or can I still make something I can be happy with without fancy tools and a place to store them? Do you have any advice for someone trying to get into fabricating their own parts? You have inspired me a great deal to go and do the things you do.

Hey brother, I certainly have started out with just the basic tools and I encourage anyone to do the same. Just do what you can with what you’ve got and anything you can’t do yourself just outsource it to have it made. I’m super proud of you for getting in and having a go. 👍

You may be covering this in a later video but are you putting in additional supports or will the rigidity of the final product and the mounting points supply enough support to hold a rider's weight/leverage?

this is only a mock up template as the actual part that I’m making will be made from a larger diameter and stainless steel so the supports that it currently has is all it’ll need

For those who complain about melting plastic exhausts. You can easily use plastic/pvc as an exhaust! You only need to spray the inside with metallic paint and wrap the exhaust with thin foil. While doing that make sure to make a thin foil hat as well!

Hi mate. Love your work. I have a question regarding motivation. I have a similar build that is roughly 70% complete. I have literally every peice to finish it but I havnt managed to get into it for at least 12 months now. Would love some advice on how I can get back into it.

Hey mate, it all comes down to your personal goals. I always find making lists works the best. My advice would be to make a shortlist on things that you can achieve now and then just start taking a list of day by day. If the motivation doesn’t come naturally, don’t force it just start watching other KZbin videos that will inspire you and eventually it will get you going again.
