I was searching "show up for yourself" on KZbin and only found a few black and minority women speaking on this (it helps when listening to motivational speaking when I feel I can relate to the speaker) and yours has dropped so many gems on me already. I'm nearing the end and the one that gut punched me the most, was telling your ideas to others. It is SO TRUE that the ones who truly get it, will over insight, be understanding and compassionate. Beautiful ♥️ as the saying goes “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. An exercise I really like about this is asking yourself “what is my payoff for remaining stuck?”. Often, we are enjoying perks like getting to complain about it, feeling victimized, not having to actually do the work. When u identify you’re getting false rewards for being stuck, it helps clear the way for the real benefits of really going for it. Love the chat Caro, hope you’re doing well with the move ♥️

Exactly Caro ☺✨ that is how I have been living (mind set) by since college. Haven't made a lot of progress due to location of where I live,(making the change saving $ to move to a new location where my spouse and i can flourish and grow our arts and passions while finding a healthy community outlet) but I can happily say and reflect that I made effort and tried. You never know unless you try, there is a whole world out there with so many paths to walk on. Each path is a journey. And who cares what others think of you, and don't let those who don't know you make those judgments effect/affect how you see fit to live your life. People will judge you where ever you are and it is not your job to make them happy. Be true be you, be real not perfect. 🌱 warm wishes and hope you will find peace. Ty for the plant chit chat!

Thank you 🙏 for the reminder. I have been carving out time for my art practice for about a year now. I have definitely made progress and yes, the self doubt never goes away. I just choose not to believe it anymore. I know I may not be where I want to be but, that gives me a purpose to keep striving and evolving. I believe the next step for me is to reach out and talk to other artist who have done the things I wish to do to really educate myself on the next steps to take towards achieving my dreams.

I was blessed today to have you suggested to me in my KZbin feed. I am an animal artist because I love animals so very much. I do struggle with mental creative overload and then sorting it out quite often. I am incredibly impressed with you young lady. I am a 52-year-old grandmother and wife and mother. I am also a retired vocalist who was blessed to have quite a bit of success in music. Sadly a drunk driver took that from me at only 30 years old and now in my fifties the Lord has seen the need to bless me with the ability to create art. I have no idea where or when I developed the ability to draw photorealistic animals but two years ago I realized I can. You are wise beyond your years dear girl and in that way you are greatly blessed as well as the blessings you have in art and communing with nature. Your words just gave me goosebumps. I used to tell myself all the time that no one will like what I do or find nothing special in what I create, that I need more tools, not paying attention at what I already have, trying to find excuses for every dream thinking that I won't make it because of this and that. But at one point I felt the need to stop and realized that if I don't do anything and let the fear overtake me, then the question of "what would've been if I had persuaded my dreams" would just killed me inside little by little. I don't say I'm not afraid anymore, because I still am and still struggle tons with self confidence and things like this, but I am allowing myself to make small steps, use what I already have and and constantly reminding myself that someone in this world will at least like, if not love, my art and will see behind it. It's hard, very hard at times, but it's unachievable. If we can dream, then at least we can do something for our dreams.

Hi Caro 🌿 I needed this so much right now. Thankyou for creating this and saying everything I needed reminding off and confirming! I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant with my first, a little boy, and though I’ve made so many positive changes in my life (moving to Australia, building our own tiny house, moving to the country etc), I have constantly been talking myself out of the creation of my own business. I’ve wanted to sew and make my own linen and natural clothing to sell for years and though I do this all the time for friends and family and myself i have talked myself out of setting up this business countless times due to self doubt. There’s something about having a little human on the way that really gets you to live your truth so I’ve been starting making progress on this dream the last 2 months, finding wholesalers, renting a small studio space from family, collecting inspiration and starting to budget and plan. I can see that the only thing that is really in the way is myself ❤️ I appreciate you so much xxx

Thank you. Although I already know this and and know what my dream life looks like I have been using my current situation my excuse not to knuckle down and start the process. I kept promising myself that once this thing that I've been waiting for happens I'll have the peace to focus but as there is no set date still (been waiting since october) I have to find a quiet time and space away from the house to give myself that time. We're in another national lockdown so I can't do what normally brings me peace so I have to find something else. Thank you again 🖤 xx

Hi Caro, how did you get into herbs and their functions? I am really inspired by the tonics you create and I love how you are aware of each one’s properties. I sometimes struggle with my relationship to food, but I know that plants are medicine. After starting my indoor garden and picking fresh herbs for cooking, it helped me to start seeing food as abundance and blessings from mother earth :) So I’ve now been slowly slowly slowly getting into herbalism!
