First generation Mito Evo (1995-2000) has 33 hp factory. I had it, plus 35mm MIKUNI carb, WISECO race piston and DENSO IRIDIUM sparkplug..... it was going 220kmh on speedometer but 200 on GPS. Either way for a 125cc that is unbelievable fast :))

no, i calculated the top speed in the part of the video that goes from 1:25 to 1:47, that is when the cagiva mito is at its maximum and the speed is constant. I looked that it takes 21,4 seconds to travel 1 km. 60 seconds / 21,5 seconds/km = 2,803 km. 2,803 km * 60 minutes = 168,18 km/h.

No, actually he had to went 180 km/h. In time from 1:26 to 1:46 , you can see he went one km (on a speedometer), that means that our time = 20s, and our Distance = 1000m. If we use {v=s/t} we will be able to know the real speed, which is 50 m/s which is km/h is *180 km/h. *

Yes. 7 speed gearbox was stock since first makes, but gears was packed so tight that there was always a problem to engage the neutral gear. Since they started making restricted Mitos they cut off one gear, which made neutral engaging much easer. Anyway I like 7 speed box instead of 6 because it's changing gears faster - much better for changing gears without clutch. I'm almost always depresing the clutch anyway, but as higher gear I'm switching as low I'm pressing the clutch lever.

No bullshit! I've driven my friends 7 speed mito once and went over the 200 km/h mark. It was tuned offcourse. But for a 125 that's amazing!

Got one my self, a 1998 EVO 1 imported from germany, so they are really fast and great bikes, guess they are about the fastest 125ccm bikes around, I have mounted big bore polini 165ccm cyl, and piston, and modified cyl head on mine now so after i got it runned in, I will test if it also reaches the 200km/h mark, (something I am pretty sure it will do, )original it went 175-180 without any problem, absolutly love the mitos, cant find better bikes for fun riding.

every good adjusted mito does 200km/h. i tested mine today. Build 99 in June does 200km/h too. And you can drive the Mito in every Rpm you want. I drove mine yesterday 15 minutes at 13.500 rpm and 7th gear. Np for the motor. At 14.000 rpm the motor regulates. You can't damage the motor

Thats really impressive. What did you do with the mito ? Cant believe it still has a 125ccm motor. And the acceleration is incredible. I remember when i had my mito model 05, max speed was like 180km/h.

Nice bike and speed!! Is this standard 125 or does i have a big bore cylinder kit, sprockets etc. Is it the mito with twin round lights at the front or the rectangular ones? Are they big or small bikes as i am about 6ft tall. I was hoping to get one but not sure if it would beat an rs125 old shape?

i have it stock and i had 200 km/h on the speedo too. 13000 rpm in 7th gear. And you don't hurt the engine if you go above 11500 rpm.

@Kakashi793 a 185 segnati sono circa 163 effettivi testati a lato di veicoli dall'errore conosciuto a telemetro, in effetti a 200 dovrebbe esser intorno ai 175..consideriamo però che probabilmente nel video in quel tratto è in leggera discesa,visibilmente..stando ai test dell'epoca con il carb34 la mito era intorno ai 170..il record è dell'rs125 con 172,9..ma ci sono voci un poco piu ottimistiche..mentre la mito svettava sui 400m...con un 14,220s..rapportata molto piu corta dell'rs..gran mezzi

Had2 mito`s. Dyno showed 28hp crank unrestricted.11kw is in some european countries when they use it for person`s age 16-18. Actually, cagiva`s own number was 33hp for evo 1 and 2. The latest model i never dyno tested but also have less hp from cagiva themself

the meaters are often 10% off, even cars. So 200/100 * 90 = 180 so you are correct. and yeah if you think all meaters are 100% accurate then use a GPS, im sure it will show you 180km/h. Even when you have a bigger carburator and a another exhaust system it's rear to get a 125cc mito to go 200.

I never said that this are real 200km/h, but the speedo tells that. And that my speedo tells me that, too. I also was on the Autobahn and a car had 195km/h on his speedo, while i was next to him.

la 125 tocca i 150 effettivi tutta originale poi il conta km segna quello che vuole se modificata al carburatore, allo scarico, al gruppo termico sfiora i 170 effettivi chi crede di andare a 200 con un 125 è ora che si sveglia! le uniche 125 che arrivano a 180 puliti erano la mito serie seven speed prodotta dal 91 al 94 che pesava ben 10kg in meno della ev, poi la rs125 Extrema anni 90 anche lei più leggera di 10kg del modello successivo e con sotto il carburatore 34

Io ho posseduto la Mito sevenspeed lucky Strike, con carburatore 35 Mikuni. La velocità di punta massima da me registrata fu di 173 Km/h (gps). Ora la mia ragazza ha una Mito 125 EV (28 di carburatore) e la punta massima è stata di 154 Km/h (sempre gps). A dire il vero ero a muro coi giri, credo che con una corona leggermente più piccola i 160 li tocchi.

Pa trosi oko 8-9 litra,a kad je bio standard trosila je 6-7 litra. Na dvotaktne 125 jedina mana ih je cilindar t.e mnogo zaribuje ali sa dobar dvotaktol Full Syntetic nema problema. Ja koristim Total 2T Racing Full Syntetic i masina nikad mi nije zaribala. Ako planiras da juris komarce leti i zagadjujes okolinu Mito je ono sto trazis. Aprilia nema sanse sa Cagivom. Pozz;)

Do people here even know what they are talking about? A non-restricted Mito with the Evo engine has about 38 Hp(factory figures) and will easily do 180 km/h on the speedo. Even slightly tuned NSR's and Aprilias do that. With a 165 kit and pipe you will get some more torque adn with a higher gearing it could help the bike get over 200, on the speedo.

Dude you need to tell me what you put in that mito to get that kinda speed. I currently have one with the works done to it and it goes about 165kmph(measured by a GPS). Do you have in a big bore kit? cuz thats the only way I can see it getting past 170 kmph that quickliy. Either that or you need a new speedo (you cant trust those things)

@firewal mh not mine. if you handle them right and treat them well, they have a long life. I'm from Germany and i made a 600km tour to italy and a total amount of 3500 km tour with my mito. German Autobahn 160km long with non stop 160 to 180. It still is alive. And this with a piston that's 23k kilometers old. treat the mitos well and they are good to you :)

@sandronumber10 Probabile, però se hai qualche anno in più ricorderai che le vecchio Mito 2 e le prime EV avevano oltre 34 CV all'albero ed erano molto più performanti delle attuali. Se cerchi i vecchi numeri (1993-94 c.) delle prove di riviste come In Moto o Motociclismo vedrai che la velocità reale è intorno ai 175 reali, 0-100 in 6 secondi, 400 mt in 14,5 c. Vado a memoria ma vedrai che non mi sbaglio di molto :-) Un mio amico aveva una EV nel 1997 e indicava 190 circa per i soliti 175 r

GP 125's dont do around 200, they top out at around 250. The 250's at around 290 and the old 500's at 320. A Gp125 is a really fast machine, not so much for its power of 45 Hp but its low weight, around 60 kg's, about half that of a dry Mito.

sarà sui 170-180 km/h. impiega circa 20 secondi per percorrere 1 km, da ciò sono 3 km al minuto. 3 km/min * 60 min = 180 km. unica pecca: non può andare in autostrada.

@tuomasyb even gps are not so useful, on a bike overall, laser telemeter is the only way to be sure on the effective speed..or better..you try that at every speed of your vehicle, know the speedo error and can instantly calculate..

i have cagiva mito and aprilia rs 125 and the difference is that speedometer on aprilia shows the true speed and on cagive 30 kmh false.... and for the info aprilia accelerates better

i run my mito on 13/41 gearing, like 150kmh-160kmh top speed in 7th gear without going deep red, forget the 200kmh shit, acceleration will be less then optimal and its no fun. more acceleration much better, easier overtake and overall more "practical", if you mito goes 200 it probably suck big time uphill and will make you look bad in tight and twisty roads, the most fun terrain for 125cc 2 stroke. however, 200kmh gearing good for show off on youtube, that all.

that's normal with the mito. mine does 200km/h too. On navi that is about ~179-181km/h
