There's a reason. The WNBA was losing money before CC, and the players also demanded profit sharing like the NBA got. And when someone did a breakdown, it turned out each WNBA player owed the league $83k/year to keep it afloat.

I find it insulting to CC that people keep comparing her to AR. The latter advantage is that she is tall, so she rebounds her own misses. CC on the other hand is a supet star. She shoots 3 pointers with amazing precision. Her passes are out of this world. Her ball handling and fakes and drives are second to none. She even steals and blocks and rebounds although not very tall. Without doubt she is the best player in the history of WNBA. Anyone who says otherwise does not understand the game or basketball.
@baseballsux2
@baseballsux2 Ай бұрын
@doksh5740 >…insulting to CC …comparing her to AR. I concur. >The latter … rebounds her own misses. That’s a fair criticism. And It’s true that AR is nowhere near on level with CC. But to be fair, Reese is an elite rebounder that does more than just rebound her own misses. >CC on the other hand is a super star. Undeniably true. >She shoots 3 pointers with amazing precision. Actually, her precision is average (35%). It’s her range that is amazing. Lexie Hull shoots with amazing precision (49%), albeit with much less range and largely due to the advantageous opportunities created by CC22. >Her passes are out of this world. Greatest passer in the history of women’s basketball. Better (though not more powerful) than many of the men in the NBA. >Her ball handling and fakes and drives are second to none. Not sure if I agree with that just yet. Phee is pretty good to. There are others. CC still evolving. I believe she will be there one day. And soon. But not yet. Still to many turnovers. >She even steals and blocks Very sneaky defender. And adept at quickly converting such opportunities into fast break points. A major strength of her game. However, not a particularly good half court defender. More on that later. >rebounds although not very tall. But not short either. 6’0” is average in the WNBA. Best rebounding guard in the league. I suspect she may very well be the best rebounding guard of all time before she’s done. >Without doubt she is the best player in the history of WNBA. No. Not yet. Without a doubt not yet. A GOAT? Yes. The greatest rookie ever? Certainly. But THE GOAT? No. Not yet. Let me ask you this, with her team down by two points (70-72) with one minute to go while facing the defending champions, and finally getting a clean look at a three pointer to take the lead, would THE GOAT miss? That’s exactly what happened against the Aces last Friday. Don’t get me wrong. I love CC, for her strength of character, her game, and just who she is as both a player and a person. But she’s not THE GOAT. Not yet. In fact, she is not even the best player in the game today (that would be A’ja Wilson). Not Yet. I believe she will be one day. One day soon. But not yet. In 1986, Michael Jordan was not the best player in the NBA. That would be either Magic or Larry. When assessing who is best, we have to take everything into account. CC is an average defender. Sneaky with her steals and blocks, for sure. But weak in the half court set. I think it’s unfair to call her a defensive liability, but not exceptional. That’s a fact. That said, I believe CC22 knows this. And she will work tirelessly to improve this weakness in her game. I believe that, before she is done, CC will be named all-defense multiple time. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if she wins DPoY at some point in her career. And then, there is all those turnovers … >Anyone who says otherwise does not understand the game or basketball. This statement reveals your bias. If you truly believe that Caitlin Clark, as the player she is today, is the greatest of all time, then it is you who do not understand the game of basketball.

I don't have an issue with Miss Clark not making the Olympic team, because I don't know the criteria and timings of the selection process, even without considering how "new" she was to this level of competition. What I do have an issue with is how they've since addressed Miss Clark within the league, and some of the other selections that seemed a little more 'political' than for the strongest team. What I also have an issue with is some of the dumb-ass, racist and/or hateful comments made about a young woman who is, potentially, going to be one of the best players, ever!

I can tell you from personal experience that to be an elite rebounder is a lot of work. Call her selfish. Call her toxic. Call her a diva. Call her delusional. Call her a locker room cancer. This jealousy and saying they deserve the money deals is just showing how little these players understand . Educate yourselves and conducting business transactions has nothing to do with deserves . Understanding marketing about timing , presentation and appeal is what companies look at . Caitlin not only had Nike as their face for them to acquire but many companies . Clark turned down offers as much as she accepted . Deserved never entered her head but confident in herself as a sure fire product just didn’t happen but began years earlier. That’s why no 5 th year in college because timing was now ! She hit top of her marketing cycle from college and knew it . Very smart young lady and understood marketing . Kudos to her for being highly prepared to negotiate with several opportunities at one time . Caitlin wasn’t just confident but certain about her business position . Obviously these WNBA players haven’t a clue of what Nike or Wilson or State Farm wanted from a girl to be a leading face for their companies millions in endorsements. Deserving has nothing to do with it !

CAITLIN CLARK FANS ARE NOT RACIST: I'm a Caitlin Clark fan. I love her game and her humility. A lot of the WOKE Fans, sports media and black Women in the WNBA, including Sheryl Swoopes, are the RACIST Ones. They HATE Caitlin because she is White, Straight, and she can ball. As for Angel Reese, Angel is a great rebounder, but she is a very flawed basketball player. She can not even shoot a lay up. And it's Not fair for Angel and the leftist WNBA players to accuse All Caitlin Clark fans of being racist just because we criticize her or her game. Molly was right that giving a roster spot to a less deserving player hurt the game. But it turns out that player was Dianasaur Taurasiarus.

Molly just asks questions on the show, doesn’t have any sports experience, and is attempting to protect other players. If Clark was black she would never criticize her. She’s not worth paying attention to as she has no credibility and is looking foolish now.

The best thing that happened to Clark was not being selected for the Olympic team. She got much needed rest and worked with the rest of her team to improve her and the team’s play. She has been on a tear, ever since.

That's too bad. Many people respected Molly's game when she played and dropped 30+ and used to be the all-time assist leader! Molly was such a competitor!

I love watching CC show us class and talent. In addition, I learn who the haters, racists, jealous, and ignorant people are in the wnba, sportscasting, and ESPN network. The wnba has been great entertainment the past few months. Before CC joined the wnba, I did not know they even existed. Thank you wnba.

One more thing Turasi has never had a triple double! Zero in her entire career!!!!!! CC should have 3 triple doubles but has 2. Great but 3 is better. Sides kept CC on the bench with 1 rebound from her first triple double. True story

I am a big Clark fan. Huge talent. Huge BB IQ, great shooter, great passer, good rebounder, decent in team defence, however at this point in her career, not a great on ball one on one defender and early in the season a terrible turn over rate. I don't have big problem with her not being selected for the Olympic team. Yes she could easily have been on the team, however there are hard choices to make and they were made. Would she have made the team better? I think the answer yes on the offensive end. ONe the defensive end I thin she wouls have been a liability. Would that have mattered ... I am not sure. IN hindsight the way her game imrpoved she likely should have been on the team, but no one could really predict how fast she would adapt to the WNBA game. I would say this, even when you look at the original mean;s dream team, they likely didn't make all the right selections purely from a basketball perspective not a marketing perspective. A few selected were well past their prime and/or recovering from injury and better players were left off the team.

It is always forgotten, that the first few month of a rookie in the WNBA is not only the standard if a player should be on Team USA and has not been the only standard. Players have been on Team USA because of their college carrier. But there is a third point, that is that players have played on the under 16, 17 or 19 Team USA and done the world cup. Caitlin played once on the under 16 team and twice on the under 19. Every time cold and on her last appearance tournament MVP. That Caitlin did not start her rookie year well enough, is just a lame excuse.
