Who is your favorite Indiana Fever player and why? Let us know!

Caitlin Clark, because of what she she showed us at Iowa. It was so much fun watching what she could do. Not just her 3's, watching her passes and her ability to read the court, knowing when to get the ball to a teammate before that teammate was even there. Her assists were as great as her shots. I've never seen a player like her, men or women.

Love Caitlin, but really gaining affection for Aliyah Boston. Boston is a beast in the low post, skilled and very polished, doesn't blow hardly any layups, very cerebral in kicking out to open shooters, a dead-on 15-17 foot jumper at the elbow, and a heck of a rebounder and defender in the post. Yes, she block shoots too. She is probably the most skilled player on the whole team.

Okay Aliyah Boston for a start is an absolute power house! Then there's Kelsey Mitchell at a very dangerous second! We're not even mentioning CC yet! then theres the NEW confident Lexi hitting 3 pointers like shes on sterroids! and finally we get to the woman that shall remain nameless, yes she's a super spy, an invisible woman creating destruction on any team that dare cross her path ... okay I probably love Sci-Fi movies a bit too much!

@@devilsadvocate1597 I agree with Aliyah, I ADORE her!!! She took Caitlin under her wing like a mother hen when she first got to the Fever. Aliyah and Caitlin had played against each other in the Final 4 in 2023, so they may have gotten to know each other a little bit then Aliyah was a commentator during the 2024 NCAA tournament, and she is such an eloquent speaker, I felt we got to know her better then, so once I knew she and Caitlin were on the same team, I was happy. Then when Lexie Hull started hitting shots after the Olympic break, I was super impressed with her, so I can't say just 1. It felt like many of the other players didn't want to play with Caitlin. They weren't passing to her even though she was passing to them, so the others I was not very impressed by.

First off CC - I was a sports fan but not of BB until I watched CC - I also thought KM and AB were good then Lexi finished the season on fire.. I also liked EW as a vet she was awesome on the bench and so positive the whole season, Tami was also the same…

That was a great interview/B.S session! I felt like a fly on the wall listening to these top tier athletes shoot the breeze with one another, and I learned that Ms. Clark is a fan of ALL sports, not just Basketball! She is aware of all of the players, team records from Basketball, Football, Hockey and soccer! They did a little contest to name athletes that came from Iowa and she definitely held her own, wasn't stumped! 22 years old?? She has one amazing mind!

I'd just like to point out, you mean real "football" or the American padded up version of hard men Rugby? The other I think you call soccer!, which is in itself the biggest sport in the entire world! o)
@boosuedon

@@devilsadvocate1597 I am an American. In America football is played with an oblong ball called a "FOOTBALL", played on a 100 yard long "football field" and the ball is either carried or thrown to gain yards toward a goal line. There is some kicking to get extra points or to gain points in lieu of a touchdown/ goal. What Europe calls "football" we call "soccer". What the UK calls "rugby", we really don't give a shit about. So, here in America, REAL FOOTBALL is as I just described, played with a real American "football". And, yes, I could not care less what the rest of the world likes or dislikes because I live in America. Why in Gods name would you call a SOCCER ball a "Football", a ball with two names. Looks like a pretty Basketball!

As for cricket and football, that's how we took over and apeased the whole world... after all the British Empire never sees the sun set on it! Sadly our one failing was try to teach Northern Americans Cricket, while all the rest of the world got it, the Americans were just too dumb to understand it... It was at the point the tiny British Island collapsed! Under the weight of the massive USA's incompetance... a few hundred years later nothings changed!

@boosuedon I'm a 45+ year diehard Hawkeye fan, and I couldn't name them as quickly as she did. I would eventually have come up with them. She was not just a soccer fan, she played until high school, and at that point she dropped soccer to devote her time to her favorite sport of basketball. (the other sports she played, she had already dropped) I was shocked to see what a great golfer she is, especially after finding out how little time she gets to spend on the golf course. She did great last year on the John Deere Pro-Am tournament with Zach Johnson, and again this year with Nelly Korda and Annika Sörenstam in the pro-am at The Annika in Belleair, Florida in November. Thousands of fans sent emails because it wasn't televised, and then it was televised on 3 different networks. There were hundreds of fans who showed up at the golf course to see her golf. Some little old lady had a golf ball and asked Caitlin's caddy if he could get her to autograph it and she DID!!! It was so sweet to see it. Afterwards she had hundreds of autograph seekers waiting for her.

It drives me crazy that none of the talking heads mention the spin she puts on the ball, when needed, to spin the ball to her teammate. It's a real skill that is not talked about.

We have to have the right camera angle and may need slow mo to really see it but she is constantly using spin to make the ball kick one way or the other and also over spin or under spin to control the height of the ball after bouncing. It's an amazing skill when we consider how quickly she makes the decision to pass and launches the ball. She has no time to think about it, just does it. Mind boggling. She also uses spin off the glass quite frequently to help the ball into the basket. One contested layup when viewed in slow mo she was allowing the ball to spin against her finger tips then applied just the right amount of spin and direction with her finger tips as she let it go. Real intimate interaction with the ball. I'm old enough to have watched Pistol Pete Maravitch and marveled at his use of spin. It was constant weather passing or shooting. He loved playing the ball off the glass and nearly always added lots of spin just for the thrill of it. He was very exciting to watch in college. People couldn't get enough of watching him. We now feel the same watching CC. She wows the crowd many times every game.

Shes is a good person with a good understanding of human interaction. Her talent is immense as is her drive to be the best. Anyone spewing white privilege needs to watch her workouts or her just sitting on a bench bored where she does dribble drills sitting down for fun. Thats not privilege thats a work ethic to use every chance to improve her skills. It can be done for anyone, including Angel Reese the problem is Reese is more concerned about her hair, makeup, and nails. Anyone watching her games can see her nails and makeup. The fact she has trouble holding a ball or maintaining control of it is clear to see. Why longer nails. Nobody ever forced her to ditch them and learn ball control or proper form.

Great interview. Stephanie white has a great crew .Ithink there was a mistake getting rid of Temi in an attempt to free funds for Sabally. Sabally will never fit in with this team and most of all CC. Sabally is a selfish player much like Reese and A’ja who require attention, that isn’t how the Fever team has gotten to where they are. The Fever work together on and off the court elevating each other. Sabally wants everything to be about her. This will destroy the synergy the team has.
