Boston looked like herself tonight and Mitchell is finally healthy. CC on a poor shooting night hit two logo threes when it mattered along with 11 rebounds and 8 assists (could have been more). The Fever actually played like a team tonight - it was good to see.

Me too. I know she messed up not being ready, but the sophomore slump is real. But she worked thru it & did so well this game. Having her playing well is so important to this teams success. I think the coach must be seeing how special Caitlin is when she has 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals and one crucial block at the end. And two bomb 3s when the game was very close. Good shooters just keep shooting until they get their stroke.

I was so happy to see Boston do so well. She has gotten out of her funk. It was also great to see her & CC find a way to figure out their passing too. Temi was a firecracker as always. I think Kelsey & CC are both better shooters in the 2nd half. They often have to warm up to it.

Caitlin also shows great leadership skills. Through 5 losses, she has kept her cool and refused to make excuses on camera. And she seems to be turning the attitude of her team around to maintain a winning mentality with the other players. I’m so happy for Aliyah. She’s such a wonderful young woman so it’s hard to watch her struggle. Temi is on a fast train to 6th man of the year award. I’m so anxious for Caitlin to drop 30 and she will, but it’s probably going to take a few games with her focused on being the “executive ASSISTant” passing the ball to covered receivers like a Brady, Rogers, and even CJ Stroud to open her up for more clean looks. I saw that in the second half, even though she still missed a few it looked like the Spark’s D let off of CC when she’d pull up from deep because she was missing a lot and because she pulled up and passed when she had a clear shot (maybe for the same reason, knowing she was struggling. Smart to pass to the hotter hands). But I think this will eventually lead to her blowing up for 30 at some point. The Fever D in the 2nd half was finally a FENCE keeping the sparks out of the Fever’s yard. Hallelujah! I will admit that first half had me worried. I was talking a lot to my TV at half time. Hard to believe I’m getting so emotional over WNBA games.

Caitlin is missing a lot of open 3's so far this year. Once they drop this team will be really good. She also could have had 6 more assist. Strange to see CC no longer looking to be the primary scorer. Fagbenle is in exceptional athlete. Boston had a good game. Started off with easy misses for her. The Sparks were also terrible last year. They are playing Rickea Jackson and Cameron Brink two rookies in their starting line up.

@amyk63194 ай бұрын
I agree. And you can take out Sides other favorite pet Wallace too. Grace needs to be the backup PG & also play with having both CC & Grace on the floor a bit occasionally too. And bring in Taylor when you need some extra defense & breaks for other players. I think Wheeler & Wallace mess up the rhythm & moral of the team. You can even see the energy change when Wheeler is subbed in. I think they may be bubble wrapping Grace, so they can trade her, which I would hate to see. She's such a better backup PG than Wheeler. I think the coach wants more experienced vets on the team, but I think they should embrace the youthfulness of Fever's talent.

I will give Sides the credit that she stayed out of their way in the 4th quarter and let them play. She also did good with that challenge b/c that was early & she seems to not to want to take risks with the Refs, so that was a good improvement for her. But before the game she was talking about wanting players to hit more mid & long 2s again, the most undependable shots you can take (there have even been studies showing this). So they kept trying & missing those in the first quarter & of course that was a disaster. I hope she won't keep pushing that because as soon as they stopped trying to make those mid/long 2s, they finally started making shots.
