You're entitled to change, you don't owe anybody anything. It's no different to changing jobs, if you no longer happy in a certain workplace, you look for a new job. I'm really enjoying your videos, they are a pick a mix.

I just want you to know that I appreciate you and your change. I also am a recovering shopping addict and the people that are disappointed in your growth are the people who are stuck in the voidfilling life of our past. They havent found peace in less like others yet. Change can be a good thing......a needed thing

I enjoy your newer content so much more than the old! In your recent uploads, you seem way more authentic and happier overall. You do you ❤️ I also sort of opted out of the usual seasonal materialistic madness of Christmas this year and have never felt more free. No expectations, no hurt feelings, much less stress - I really enjoyed the quiet of it all - and if anything, I actually got rid of more stuff in general. That felt good too. 😌

im a realist or as other like to call me a miserable person. however this yr i am so happy that finally people are starting to see it my way. people would call me a grinch as i didnt see the need to exchange gifts or give gifts to adults. i always said we are adults, we can buy what we want and i dont have the money for it. finally! this yr people finally agree with it! you see! im not miserable, im just real and i know how it really is.

Your channel is so great! My mom used to be a hard core shopping addict! And I saw your video for beauty trends you aren’t doing anymore. Yeah.. same.. it’s a fine line from self care into just having grooming take over your life..

I used to have cleaners, shopping addiction where I would end up buying same things multiple times because I didn't know what I already had, partied every weekend, eating out every single meal etc. I thought I made it but I was so anxious and I was not fully fulfilled. I had to step back and make some changes. I clean my own house now and it's so therapeutic! Before I buy, I wait for about a week and make sure it's a need, keeping receipts in case I change my mind. Focused on enriching my health and relationships! I'm so much happier these days!

I just started watching you recently probably because of your change is video style. I love your current content. I haven’t gone back and watched old videos. But I don’t think your old content would resonate with me. I’m trying to pay off a house and I have children to care for. I can’t afford luxury and may never be able to afford it. Love your new view on life! Excited to see what you come up with in the new year. Happy New Year!

Good for you on turning a huge corner and realizing the things that are important and the things that aren't. If only more people would or could do that, what a much better place the world would be. 2023 was the first year I had to hire a cleaner LOL Only because I had surgery and I'm keeping her around for the time being but she's only doing things I don't feel safe doing. Hi Caitlin, thank you for making this video. I started watching your video’s about two and a half years ago, when I was starting my designer bag collection. However, I’m very thankful for the content you create now. I do get lost a bit in keeping to want more, and it’s really refreshing to watch your video’s about quitting your shopping addiction. I’m still watching videos about luxury handbags/jewelry, but you inspire me to take it slow with buying new things and to try to focus on other activities/hobbies/health. I hope you’ll have a great 2024.

Hi Caitlin! I just started watching your channel a few short months ago - I originally clicked on one of your videos because we have the same last name 😅, and followed because I really appreciate the honest, self-aware, and reflective nature of your recent content. I wanted to pop into your comments to share a couple of thoughts I had while watching this video: 1. It's absolutely wild to me that some people feel it's rude to unfollow/stop watching creators. Time is precious, so why should we devote ours to watching content made by influencers who don't even know we exist?!?! Crazy, but I guess that's parasocial relationships... 🙃 2. In this video, you mention some of your older subscribers turning away because they don't like the new direction in which you're taking your content, and I can imagine that must be hard to hear. Conversely, while I'm a fan of your new content, I don't think I would have followed your channel had I found it a few years ago, when it was centered around shopping and luxury goods - it's just not really my thing, I promise I don't mean that in a negative way. Even though some old viewers may no longer be around, I think there's something to be said for gaining a new audience with similar values! And, I think your new viewers likely have interests and an outlook on life that's more aligned with yours - I think that's worth something! Anyway, I hope you keep up the critical commentary videos in 2024, because I really enjoy and appreciate the insight and food for thought they give me - but even if not, YOU DO YOU! IT'S YOUR CHANNEL!!!! 😘

I've only EVER made MOST of the money back from selling handbags WHEN I bought them preloved in the first place. Never brand new. Which is why, I really do struggle with the idea of buying brand new. Handbags are like cars tbh. The ONLY brand that makes more sense brand new is Hermes...if you can get it. The value isn't in what YOU bought it for, its in what others will buy it for.

Lol, I not only clean the house and always have done it, I wouldn't mind doing it for other people if it meant extra income😂. But yeah, it's just not that common if you don't live in an area with mac mansions I guess. Wow. Girl, "relatable ".... I do agree with your private life topic. I almost think it is seen as "common" or "simple" and not admirable to be flexing on social media. Hence me. Here on this channel. But yeah, even if I really don't relate to much you say, I AM a sort of shopaholic and want to get out of that bad habit so listening to a completely different cultural viewpoint? Priceless. Thanks for the rants 😊
