i’m not really vegetarian or vegan but i grew up on a farm and i think that shaped my love of veggies! As a kid id literally prefer an extra serving of veg to whatever dessert there was at dinner. Never really had a veggie burger but man oh man this one looks AMAZING

Definitely team veggie burger! I'm too lazy to make them on my own, but I found those pre-made veggie patties at my local organic health store that are made out of sweet potatoes, potatoes, bell pepper, buckwheat, carrots, pumpkin, onions, arugula and pumpkin seeds and they make the best burgers I ever had (and I had a lot of mock meat patties)!

Team veggie burger anyday! I was a vegetarian before (was unaware about the animal cruelty in dairy/wool/honey/zoos etc but went vegan when I learnt) and loved my aloo tikki (potato patty) burgers. Now I make them at home with naturally vegan burger buns and vegan mayo.

Oh my gosh, YES! I LOVE veggie burgers. I’ve been vegan since I was 12 and before that I didn’t eat much meat because I never liked it, so the beyond and impossible stuff is completely unappealing to me. I miss veggie burgers at restaurants so much 😭

@@holyexperience1976 well my mom converted to Buddhism and became a certified yoga instructor around the time I was born so my childhood diet wasn’t what you would call typical for an American. Lots of beans, tofu, whole grain, low fat, etc. I’ve never had pork and on the rare occasion my mom made beef because my dad liked it, I would basically refuse to eat it. Growing up, my mom never took us to McDonalds and I have never eaten a non vegan cheese burger. So yeah, it’s unusual for a kid to not like meat, but it’s pretty normal for a kid to prefer what they are used to and that has never included meat. I do like some of the mock chicken I’ve tried though but I think that’s mostly because it just tastes like whatever you put on it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was definitely not raised vegetarian and I still crave a burger every now and again. Beyond or Impossible + chao "cheese" get it out of my system. Veggie burgers to me are very hit and miss; I've had some amazing ones and some terrible ones. Texture is important and really hard to get right from my experience, but when you do they can be amazing.

When I went vegetarian in 2021 I so desperately wanted restaurants to just make veggies taste good. Honestly as someone who was trying to seriously quit meat for the first time all of the fake meat was a huge turnoff, but bean burgers are delicious. Most of the veggie burgers I had at restaurants were sooo dry that I'm now scared to order them. So I will mostly opt for the faux meat. Excited to try this one, if veggie burgers aren't dry they can be soo tasty! Excited to try this burger!

OMG! I am so glad to hear someone call this out. This is my pet peeve. Every restaurant seem to have replaced good ol veggie burger with fake meat burgers. Its like they never understood the idea of vegetarians. Even if it is plant based if it tastes like meat it IS meat duhhh... On team veggie burger all the way!!

I grew up omnivore in Poland where the food culture is very meat-focused, so I had already learned to love meat. I'm team Beyond burger! I love veggies too but if I want veggies then I'd rather have them in something else like a veggie stew or a salad. If I want a burger then I want 'meaty' 😋

Great stuff! The only "fake meat" veggie burgers I like are beyond and anything wheat meat- based. I don't really see beyond as a fake meat, as they are made with a handful of ingredients focused on mung beans, peas, rice, and wheat. Your veggie burgers look awesome. Basically, I don't want lab meat, algae, gmo, impossible, whatever.

A vegan place in town used to have the BEST falafel burgers. I'm saying used to because they've moved to the butt of town from the very downtown, and raised their prices :( They also had the most delicious burgers with tofu wrapped in a nori sheet and fried in batter, good God I'm craving it right now
