Great topic well presented. Particularly liked the idea that all aspects of relationships affect all others. This is even more true in long term relationships. Married for 25 years and we are both in our 60’s. Both therapists and we have worked very hard on our marriage, keeping communication clean and being there for each other in every conceivable way. Kids are 23 and 19. Live in a one story 1700 square foot house so with them around our sex life was terrific but less frequent. When the youngest left for college our sex life was reborn despite the fact that our bodies have changed with age, including medical issues for both of us. Who knew we would be this frisky 25 years in and both over 60? That is due to our staying very connected to each other outside the bedroom. The way we have treated each other outside the bedroom for the past quarter century has all, in a way, been foreplay/seduction. Thinking of every interaction in that way has been the real secret for us.

@7:00 - I'm so glad you address that issue. Nothing kills my experience worse than a guy who is clearly only going through the motions but is not present in the moment or connecting with me. I love your shows you have straightforward honest advice that hits home. However, my one critique of the almost every sex therapist ive listened to (you have addressed this B4 Caitlyn, thank you) is that women don’t take into account that men like a lot of the same things that you always say women like. Especially if you’re someone like me who has trouble reaching orgasm due either to medication or mental block I’m not sure which, or if it’s both, maybe, who knows. Still working on figuring that out. That said for a guy like me who can take sometimes multiple hours before reaching climax, despite wanting to reach it much sooner, girls often forget the foreplay is just as, if not more important with the guy. Don’t just act too tired after the guy has gone down on you for 20 minutes to go down on him. because if you don’t reciprocate it really hurts peoples feelings and turns them off unless they specifically asked you not to. Same thing with laying back. It may feel great but picture yourself doing planks and push-ups repeatedly for three hours straight. Or squats While maintaining erection, while making you orgasm multiple times. Give the guy a break and take some of the tips that Caitlyn V has given you and put them to use on your man now LOL tell him to lay back so you can take over for a bit and if he tries to help tell him to stop until his heart calms down you’ll know because you’ll feel it. IAnd for goodness sakes learn to not use your teeth when you’re going down on him. It’s like someone nibbling your clitoris or labia.
