It is the coolest little gadget, isn't it? I have a recipe on my website where I do Canadian bacon and an egg on it! I call it a BEChaffle. Just spray it, plop an egg on it, break the yolk up with a fork, put some cut up Canadian bacon in it and cook until the egg is set. Then add a piece of cheese for about 10 seconds. Comes out so good!!

Sprinkles! Just an FYI - I made the wonderful Salmon topping the other night using dried basil and it was delicious! I've even been known to use frozen salmon steaks when no fresh was in the house! I’m going to try your sheet pan kielbasa bowls. They look so good 😊. How do you come up with your recipes? That’s where I have a hard time meal planning.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Those bowls are packed with sooo many different flavors that all come together. It's one of those things that I literally say mmmm to every bite!! LOL As far as recipes, I get them from so many different ways. Sometimes something will just pop in my mind and I'll kind of throw things together and realize that it becomes a recipe, kind of like the kielbasa bowls. I was just preparing a big tray of veggies one day and saw some kielbasa in my freezer, so I thought I would throw it on there. Something so simple yet it became a recipe. But a lot of times, I just head to Google and say I want a chicken breast recipe, I will just type in chicken breast recipe and then hit images. When I find something that looks good, I'll pull it up and see if I can tweak the recipe or adjust it to my liking. So, on my recipe page, if that's how I got the recipe, you may see it say "adapted by" and then a website. That means I got the recipe from someone else and just adapted it to my liking. In fact, I always tell people that the basil parmesan salmon is not my creation. That is a Skinnytaste recipe that I just tweaked to make the points even better, so you'll see credit given to Skinnytaste on that recipe. If you see it say "inspired by", that means that the recipe is pretty much a complete do-over and very different from the original, but that I did get inspired to create my recipe from seeing someone else's. I will always give credit to other recipe creators, even if I just got a little inspiration from their recipe to create my own. Now for this cake batter pancake recipe in this video, since I was planning on making them exactly the same as Joan's recipe and planned on just making waffles, that's why I gave Joan's link to her recipe and didn't create it on my website. But now that I adapted it into a pancake bake, I'll put it on my website as a pancake bake, but I'll say "adapted by" and give Joan's original link. Hope that made sense. :) I just realized this was probably way more than you were asking for! LOL

@@PlanningUsHealthy so I was thinking about making the pancake bake with fruit in it for a snack cake. When I put it in the recipe builder for a 9x13 (multiple by 6), it comes out to 4pts per piece and if it's the chocolate chip it's 5. Which Kodiak did you use to make it 3?? I'm really good at math HOWEVER I'm retired so my brain is mush. 🤪
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
It may be one of those things that has so many of the 0 point items that when you multiply it, it comes out higher. If you do single serving, what does it come out to? I use the buttermilk protein flapjack kind.
@judylogue80164 жыл бұрын
@@PlanningUsHealthy I had to guess at the extract. There is no cake batter extract listed, so I used vanilla and for 6 tsp it's 3 points and for 3 tbsp of JIMMIES (LOL) it's 3 pts. So if you use the lowest Kodiak then it's 4 pts. But that's still not bad for the enormous size!!! I'm in😁
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
@@judylogue8016 I think that's what it is then. Because Joan and I both get 3 points, but we did it for the individual serving. So, for the individual serving, the only thing that has points is the 1/3 cup of kodiak cakes for 3 points. It''s 0 for everything else, including the SPRINKLES!! 🤣🤣 I figure if I'm only eating one portion, that keeps all those at 0. Didn't think to put it in that way and have it come out more. Interesting!!

Can't eat rice and beans no more. No corn or nuts etc...
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Awww....so sorry you struggle like that. If you watch some of my more recent videos, you'll see I just went through a period like that where I couldn't eat fruits, veggies, fiber, whole wheat, etc. I have ulcerative colitis (sister to Crohn's Disease). When I'm in a flare, I can't eat all those things because I don't digest them good and I get ulcers in my intestines. It's definitely a struggle when I'm going through a flare. I'm finally getting better now, but I'm still taking the skins off veggies and things like that. But finally I can tolerate beans and corn again. I'm still going slow on the whole wheat though. So, yes, I completely understand when you say you need to find some that you can eat. When I'm not in a flare, I'm encouraged to eat all that stuff. It's so strange! I hope you find more answers. That seems strange that they think it's all from your gallbladder being removed! Good luck to you!!

Hi Barbara! I just tried it and I got the same as you. I know there were a couple recipes in the beginning that were such small modifications that I removed it from my website and referred the original website only. I think this was one that may have been like that. When I make it now, I do it exactly like the Skinnytaste recipe.

LOL I do! I said that to myself when I was editing! 😂 I guess just because I was going off the single serving, I just had tsp in my mind. LOL

Mine is McCormick brand. I found mine at Walmart, but I know a lot of people are saying they can't find it anywhere except Amazon, so I added it to my Amazon storefront at amazon.com/shop/planningushealthy . It is so good! I'm trying to think of other things to use it in! Team Sprinkles!! :)

#TagCaliforniaSprinkles; But always watch Food network and some of the shows have said Jimmies. I'm not a fan of freezer meals because it changes the texture and taste but your concept has always interested me. I went to Costco for my weekly meat and veggies and came home and prepared them and put them in baggies. I think this is my jam for now on. Thanks for always inspiring me and (us).

Thanks so much, Pamela!! Back when I first started meal prepping, freezer meals was all I did. One day I was off from work for a holiday and I did 50 freezer meals in a day. I was whooped after! LOL I don't do as many anymore because I just like the fresh better. But I will still freeze chili and I have a few go-to freezer meals that I'll still do. I wish we had a Costco here! So glad that you are inspired! :) Thanks so much for your support! :)

Then my mom moved us up to the north country which is where I met my husband (we started dating when we were 15 - been together 33 years now).
