In the IFstatement for the date are you using an asterisk? I could not get that to work. I got an error message, so I deleted the if statement.

Please post the formula for the if statement for the date and the formula that calculates the monthly returns. I spent hours replaying the video, and I could not get it to work. I am hoping to copy and paste the formulas. Thank you!

Here is a file that does this for the S&P 500 returns. If you're getting an error it may be how you are formatting your months/dates. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qv02ERBefJg0Ik_KxSUobQsEi8YBxudSX1MeU1_6tgg/edit?usp=sharing

Hey, would it be possible to calculate the daily % returns for the years changes instead of monthly? How would we change the formula on that?
@h2e8 ай бұрын
I assume you mean returns as of a certain date? Really all you would need to do is change the dates; the process would be the same.

@@h2e What if it's for day-to-day % changes for the entire year and then I want to compare it to all the other past years? Would that be similar?

Hello sir Is there any function to call the previous months open high low close of any stock in Google sheet
@h2e2 жыл бұрын
You can modify the date argument. For example, this formula would get AAPL's high, low, close, open and volume for Sept 30: =GOOGLEFINANCE("AAPL","all","9/30/2022") If you wanted to go back 30 days, you could use something like today()-30 instead of the date: =GOOGLEFINANCE("AAPL","all",today()-30)
