Great work. I’ve noticed some people mention the music, I liked the music on your other videos, what about including it, but turn it down so it’s there in the background. Just a thought as I’ve seen that you said you like it (and so do I). Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching this build!

Hi Tom, Thanks, I only had a handful of complaints so I think I will go back to background music, you've got a nice selection of builds (Ive subscribed, I like how you describe in detail each step. I learnt a few painting techniques too thanks.)

@@g-kip I have some videos with and others without music. My main problem is I cannot find a way to have the music repeat. Once the song ends the music stops. Very frustrating!

Going well! I was thinking that in view of the upgrades that you are doing, this particular kit is really handy in having the gun ports all nicely cut out for you to refer to. Other kits don't always have that convenience to assist the builder. The hull will be pretty strong too! Good stuff! Regards JH ⚓

Seems to me you are way over half to go build a scratch build. You come prepared, and are ready to acommadate and adjust. Love it, Grant. And yes i did cave in. Pavel Nikitin`s Oseberg version 3 should arrive end of the month. I am gonna use Olha`s and some of your idea`s, and follow Nikitin`s home channel on the build. I have great expectations on your model, you got the tools and the skill.

I know that you have gotten some "complaints" from some, but I feel that not having any music takes away some of the atmosphere in the videos. I'd rather have the commentary actually. It's nice to know where the builder is going with the model. We can have music on the last video showing the finished model! :)

Hi Nikki, I thought I would try without the music to see if anyone would notice, yes I had a couple of people complain about the music, but the number was small in comparison to the number of views, in my personal opinion I like the background music, breaks the silence between the speech, maybe I need to talk more lol, maybe I should do two versions one with background music and one without.

@g-kip Yeah, I like the music as well.. As long as it doesn't blur out the commentary:) But again, you can't please everyone:) It's your channel, you do what feels right for you, and if people like it, great. If not, tolerate it or find something else to watch. That's at least my view on it..

Great videos, you might need to adjust the front of the mast holes to allow for the mast rake. So you don’t have problems when the time comes to install the masts.

I seam to be the only one to ask WHY. Will all the modifications improve the final appearance? and will all this extra work even be visible? I love that you are doing this. It makes for great interesting video. I hope it all works out the way you want it to. I'll keep watching and hoping I will get it.

Hi Gordon, im planning to light the decks, nothing worse than the ports with the fake cannons, as lighting is impossible, and ship looks odd with 2 of 4 decks lit, also as the gunports are quite large due to the scale of the kit, im hoping the internal deck details will be visable, obviously on closer inspection. Thats the reason for the customisations.

Thanks much Now I get it. So many are getting into this lighting of their ships. I am more old school and think about how much a real ship would be lit by candles and oil lamps. Most of the people are over doing the lighting. I hope yours turns out the way you want.

Hi GKip I am not sure to understand why you are making so much modifications to the frames and creating a lower deck? Isn't the lower deck part of the kit?

Hi Gilbert, firstly thank you for becoming a member and supporting the channel, the lower two decks are false on the kit, there is a strip of wood fed through the frames which gets painted black, and dummy cannon barrels are glued on to it. I decided as the gunports are reasonably large on this kit, due to the scale of the model, I would add the two lower decks, adding the details so that if you look through the gunports you will see a more realistic interior, also it makes the kit and build more unique and a little more challenging and fun to build. Do you build model ships? Again thank you for your support.
