I'm always amazed that so many people expect quarterbacks to be amazing right out of the gate, even before they have a chance to learn the position. Honestly, you'd have to wait until maybe week 8 or 9 before anyone will finally accept whether there are problems or not because it'll just go 'Oh well it's only the pre-season'. Then 'Oh well it's only week 1' and so on and so forth. Turning the ball over constantly is something to be critical of because it can cost you games and you have to hope they'll clean things up soon, especially with Caleb and who he is, or the season is washed.

Caleb Williams has a ton of flaws and is far from a "generational" prospect: 1. Can't read a defense 2. Holds onto the ball too long 3. Pats the ball before throwing, which tips off the defenders 4. Tries to make a 50-yd pass each time instead of taking the open 5-7 yd throw the defense gives him 5. Tries to make highlight plays to elude the sack each time, which could result in injury instead of throwing the damn ball away...Good for social media highlights/clips, bad for winning football games I've seen guys who were much more talented than him end up busting because they had 1 or 2 of the flaws above. He has a long way to go to even become a decent starter.
