Our cat did a similar thing. He escaped from our car at the vet, 8 miles from home. He ran across the road into a mountain ridge area. We called out but he had gone. One week later he turns up at home like nothing happened! True miracle!! Its been 25 years now. Miss my Zeb ❤❤

My dad's cat went missing for 6 months and on the day that my brother and I visited him (I was 8 at the time) his cat came running up the driveway. I told my dad "Tuffy's here!" and he told me not to joke about that and when he saw her he was so ecstatic. I'm guessing someone kidnapped her and she was smart enough to get away and come back

It's possible that they stole the cat and that's how the cat travelled 800 miles to their home place, but later changed their mind of keeping it. Otherwise there is no reasonable explanation of the cat travelling such a long distance.

A couple years ago I moved to a different house, brought my cat in over night the cat was nowhere to be found, looked around nothing. Went back to the other house and found it there (roughly 2 miles away). Unfortunately that cat had a sad ending, one of his front legs was injured jumping home fences I took it to the vet they said he had suffered some form of nerve damage as he was no longer feeling pain in that front leg. They said we needed to amputate its leg I said no way, took it back home It was around for a couple days then disappeared. I think my neighbor killed it and threw it away. There was another older male cat not long ago that used to come to my house to eat every now and then, it was a very big muscular cat with a huge head and one ear that was always folded. Anyways, one day I was outside doing something on my car and see my neighbor head out, later that day I went by one of those places that have a bunch of little mechanic shops, going in I noticed it (someone had run it over and the black trash bag was split open) you could see all the red tissue and the orange fur, I didn't think much of it going in. Coming out I confirmed it to be the cat I was seeing at home at least 99%. I fully confirmed when its been over 6 months and the cat no longer came back home.

my dad was taking my cat to the vet, years ago, anyway , the cat was on the bike, and he jumped off , around 3 miles from our house, in London. Thinking he was lost for good, but no Sandy the Ginger cat, came walking home 2 hours later. It's amazed me as there is no way he knew the streets, he had never been in that part of London, yet somehow he walked home, and this was pre GPS , so he could'nt even use that :). I still have no idea how he navigated back home, there would be no real landmarks, it's bizarre. It's like he was a homing pigeon and maybe use the magnectic field of the planet, who knows i suppose thinking about it and this is London, so 3 miles is a mutlple of small roads, main roads, lefts, rights, is that on his escape , he had kept a mental note of the route and reversed naivgated it, which is amazing as a lot of humans would fail at that

@@iAnasazi being on the back of my dad's bike (moped), i presume he could see out the holes in the box. So he def had never been in that part of London, so i presume , he was watching as my dad drove him to the vet, saw the route, somehow jumped out and reversed walked it it would be the only explanation, maybe he recognised buildings, or maybe he built an internal map, i.e this long , turn left, this long, turn right I know where he jumped out and it's around 3+ miles, 10+ roads, lefts, rights, small, large roads back to my house I cannot think of any other way he would find his way back

@davidrenton So he actually was there before (on the moped). Still surprising that he would remember, but not inexplicable.

@@iAnasazi yes he was in that way there, as he was going to a place on that route for the 1st time, but it's it's his 1st time, and he going along the route at 30mph for the most.
