To your comment about liking Pac’s verse better, keep in mind that Dr. Dre is not really a rapper in the purest sense of the word. He is a producer first, and the rapping is a secondary element of his being. Most of his lyrics were written by other people. 2Pac, on the other hand, was a poet/lyricist through and through. He was definitely a wordsmith. He was also a workaholic in the studio. Such is why there is sooo much material by 2Pac that has been released since his death.

This is definitely a song you need to listen to full blast! I think you guys have researched enough Tupac and perhaps Dr. Dre to know how big of a deal this song would have been. It was during Tupac’s reintroduction to music after prison. This collaboration was huge!!! This is actually the remix. What you are calling "the second part" is the original recording and the official album version. Because the remix did so well, when they made the video it was supposed to be a dream that Pac woke up from. If you can find them together on KZbin, it is a seamless transition.
