I have the same mower I bought back in May 2022. I love the mower but I have trouble reaching two grease points but I am able to reach the points in the blades. My dealer told me to bring it up next month when I will have it serviced after the season is over. Sometimes I scalp the lawn on my turns. Other than that it does a great job

They are not too bad. Maybe on next video i will show how i do it. It’s just about getting the right angle when the tire is in the revolution.

Yeah the reel is pretty straight forward and can see why the rear are more difficult

Very nice! What is the highest cut you can make with that mower? Does that have a brush attachment to make those stripes?

There are 2 different versions of this mower. The lower model of the 2 can mow as high as 1 7/8 inch with caster wheels and 1 3/8 inch with a roller. The high cut version of the mower i believe can mow as high as 2 1/4 inches. I regards to the stripes it does not have a brush and the optional roller is what creates the stripes. I have my first zoysia customer...grass really high...when cutting grass its brown after first pass. am i cutting to low.

Yeah. More then likely you had scalped up. It should come back but will need to pick up mowing frequency to avoid scalping in the future. It’s either that or cut at a higher hoc. Generally zoysia at a slightly higher hoc than Bermuda.

One comment I see on reviews is the lines the tires leave. How bad are they and how long do they remain after mowing

I would say it varies. If your hoc is higher it’s more noticeable. Also i would say much more noticeable in cool season turf. In some angles i can see them more so then others. It is definitely one of the negative points on a cal trimmer vs Mclane which has a flatter tire

Dwayne how high can you cut with a reel 3”?

I would say nothing more that 1 3/4. Anything higher you are better off with a rotary mower.

The Honda has second to none as it relates to reliability. It also quieter and smoother running then the Briggs. Not trying to talk bad about the Briggs as it is a good motor, it’s just hard to beat the Honda Gx motor.

Hey friend, How often do you have to cut yours at 5/8 to keep it where you are just clipping green? I have bermuda so just curious.

It really depends on the temperature. In the thick of 100 degree temps you are looking at 4 to 5 times a week in my opinion. This is why i am more of a fan of 3/4 where you can get a great look and mow closer to 3 to 4 times a week. Hope this helps 👍🏻
