Let them have their way LETS SEE HOW FAR THERE ELECTRIC TRUCKS GET THEM and at this point I SAY ALL DIESEL TRUCKS JUST STAY OUT OF CALIFORNIA leave them to their own devices.

Unfortunately 40% of goods the rest of the country consumes comes out of the ports here in Kalifornia and are trucked cross country! In addition, were is a lot of produce grown here in Kalifornia that the rest of the country consumes as well!

California want too much stuff which makes difficult truckers life

I won't even drive my pickup to California let alone my semi. They can shove their laws. Is there really anyone that needs money so bad they have to go there?

I can see warehouses at the California border. Then electric trucks having to relay across California to ship freight if they get their way.

Boycott and or move from California, fellow truckdrivers

Let alone the lithum batteries catching on fires parked in Ford production parking lot. And that small lithum battery in a pickup truck is to much for the local fire truck. Has to let burn down to the ground. So a extra large lithum battery will be uninsureable as burns the semi down to the ground. Hope it's not sitting in the warehouse door on fire. Oh that might get those lazy companies and warehouse workers ass on fire to load and unload your trailer. Yeah I got a lithum battery on board for refeer...lol😅 don't want the warehouse to catch fire...lol😅

Anything that has a negative consequence to consumers need to be evaluated in detail and submitted to consumer votes! The government can't just shove this nonsense down our throats without regards to the consequences!!!

1. I was a lifelong Californian. I drove from NorCal to SoCal so many times I can't count it. I-5 south of Bakersfield is very busy -- and very steep. Trucks currently end up driving 20mph after one mile going uphill, and they have four miles to go. This grade will empty every truck battery. Time is money, so that means adding lots of hours sitting at the top of Tejon Pass recharging those batteries, time wasted. A diesel truck would have made it southeast of LA and gotten unloaded by the time these batteries are recharged. 2. How are the ports in Portland OR and Seattle/Tacoma WA? Can the Pacific Rim move their shipments north to these ports? It's better than going through the Panama Canal and going to Galveston TX. 3. Someone already mentioned building warehouses just outside the state lines, on I-5 in OR, I-80 and I-15 in Reno, and I-10 and I-8 in AZ. Then battery-powered trucks can take these shipments into CA. The already high prices of everything in CA will only get higher as a result. Hopefully this falls through before 21 years is up. I remain relieved to have moved out of that rapidly-failing Fascist state and gone to Free America.

Insurance for diesel trucks has become much more expensive for me. I wonder how it will be for electric trucks. Hopefully, they will reconsider their decisions once the consequences of these misguided policies become apparent.

All of this is a easy fix. Do not ship anything to or out of California.

Saddest thing they don't do well on steep terrain, and winding roads wich CA has looks like they have to modify several MTNS in the state .Just ship Everything Via Air like a war Zone.

Thanks for the video. This was informative. I am a lease to own-operator (flatbed) and even tho I run under my company's load board and customers I like to stay updated on the channel. Can't wait to see what is going to happen with this California mandate. Hopefully the other states lawsuit gains traction and wins. Forcing electric trucks on everybody does not make sense. The push should be gradual.... This is just sad.
@LWRC3 ай бұрын
Not even gradual!!! Battery energy density will not approach that of diesel fuel any time soon if ever! This insanity here in Kalifornia must be terminated immediately!!!

I mean if that's what they want to do wouldn't that just be bad news for them? I mean I know it would suck for truckers that live there, but hell I would move. I don't even like going to cali anyway.

No problem soon all shops have no more for sale, so move our and let the mayor go back work for low salary snd will wake him up, not enough power beside evs trucks are not working for that market 😢😢😢😢

Wtf! Your company is part of the problem. Why tf are you booking load for 1.53 - 2.12 a mile? Yall are one of the company's that's driving and keeping rates down 😑

Market is what it is, but AFT helped me get $4900 @ $2.28 per mile. For the month AFT got me $13,900 @ 6342 miles @ $2.19 pm. Sometimes you just have to patience during low market conditions. Just like using patience during a traffic jam. Thanks to Andy, an amazing partner. Special thanks to V, who has his pulse on the market conditions each week. 1st QTR 2024: 22,518 miles, grossed $71,314 at $3.12 per mile.
