I can totally relate to this video. My wife was born and raised in San Jose, CA in an anti-gun household. I grew up around guns but didn't own any at the time we got married. A few years later I started betting back into hunting. She wasn't thrilled about having a gun in the house, but she learned to adjust. I took her to several shooting ranges - indoor pistol, outdoor rifle, & sporting clays. She fell in love with it all. Around the time of our 10th anniversary, I found a great deal on a used Ruger Redhawk 44mag revolver. I brought it home, and she immediately claimed it as hers and called it her anniversary gift. She still lets me use it on occasion.

@Big Dick Black Thanks, but I'm not in the city anymore. I live in a very small town in the Sierra foothills near Yosemite. We moved away from the Bay Area back in 2015. Got tired of the city life. There's little to no violence up here except for the occasional road rager from Fresno. Up here in the hills, the only areas that deal with things like break-ins are the larger communities where shooting/hunting is illegal - where criminals know they are less likely to be met with armed resistance.

This is so,what accurate. I was very anti-gun, but was already starting to question that. I took a handgun class in the interest of learning more and having some experience with guns since I shouldn’t hate what I don’t understand. Going through the class I learned just how responsible most gun owners are, and how much they take safety seriously. I don’t own any guns yet but totally changed my mind about them. 👍🏻

There was a long break (lunch) and a buddy of mine, both of us from the east side, started talking about gun projects and such. There were about 3 people from the west side who jumped right into the conversation and couldn't stop talking. Later on I asked if they felt comfortable talking about guns with colleagues. They said "hell no". There were EXCITED to finally get to talk about their gun hobby and not hide it. It was hilarious.
