Test rode this bike and loved it. Tip in on this bike is excellent. Acceleration pulls hard enough to 1. fool you into questioning if the power numbers are underrated, 2. get a rider in enough trouble to lose a license quick. Rider position and ride quality are bang on. This bike is a real gem.

Good review, I’ve had mine for 2 years and it still makes me smile. For those who think it’s underpowered BEWARE it is not and can easily outpace most cars and bikes on the road. The seat is pure comfy and handing superb. It’s also one of the nicest looking bikes on the market attracting many positive comments from other road users. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 and subbed ya.

i totally agree with you. i have one, the ‘s’ version, and love it. coming from three honda cbr600rr’s and a yamaha fz-07 and 09, this bike is the best i have ever ridden. no problem with power. i love the sound of ducati’s. it is music for the ears. it makes riding it even more fun.i am 68 and am 6’ 3” and enjoy the ergonomics. it is perfect for comfort.

I have one and I add the motul to reduce bike heat , and it is works .heat in low speed with frequently stop and go off course is not a good a idea. But out of this , will be fine. I'm here in Brazil and I drove in 37C / 98F. And bike keep in 88C / 190F and the seat still very comfortable. I read some guys add a heat protection under de seat but I don't see usual . Bike heat is ok

The Supersport is a gorgeous bike, but I didn't "love it" when I test rode it a few weeks ago. It was nice, but I typically ride a torque-heavy Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special, so the Supersport felt like it lacked low-end power for street riding. I'm sure it would have been a more fun ride if I had been on a twisty highway or a track. Nonetheless, it's cool to see Ducati producing a street-friendly Panigale, so massive respect to them for that! 😎

For me, "vibration" is a problem when it's high frequency (like on an inline 4) and not so much from a 90-degree V-twin like this Ducati.

Nice video, I have the old 2002 900 supersport. And I’ve been thinking of upgrading to the 2020 version. I love that they spread out the service interval to 18000 compared to 6000 from the old version.

Question? In your personal opinion because you’ve owned both bikes and riding them extensively do you think for someone with a bad back would you pick the Ducati super sport S 2021 or the Aprilia RS 660 I currently have placed an order for the Aprilia. But I’m having second thoughts with all these issues it’s having.

Amazing views! Question: How is the vibration at around 120 km/h - 130 km/h (or 75 mph - 80 mph)? Do you think your hands would go numb after an hour or two of riding? As an FZ-07 rider, I'd like to go to something more sporty for my touring trips. Ontario is quite flat so it's mostly highway riding (and depending on certain locations people drive fast).

Seems like more of a successor to the old Paso and ST models than the Super Sports, with those riser bars and optional luggage. Good to see this sort of heavily sports biased sports tourer still exists though, when the category seems to have been largely replaced by road focused, high performance "ADV" bikes.

I’m in the process of test riding various bikes for my next purchase upgrade from my Suzuki Bandit GSF 650 (I’m keeping her as she’s a bike I can work on and upgrade). My heart lies with the 821 Monster but I won’t get to test ride it in the UK until next year due to supply issues. However I’m hearing great things about the Supersport S. I never in a million years considered a sports bike, due to position and fairing but this is looking like a contender. Anything else you can add to help would be appreciated, thank you.

Excellent review, thanks. No heat issues? It kind of scared me when I did a test ride. Wondering to buy this one (and add alu below the seat) or the CB650R because both have the perfect riding position for me. The Duc definitively more pretty though, but maybe not ideal for riding through the city at 50km/h. Cheers

This bike is comfy. It's very similar to a sport touring seating position. I don't understand tho with the 937cc size how it only has 110hp. Have they detuned and restricted the power somehow ?
@pauly1k4 жыл бұрын
Its a twin engine, not at inline 4. It takes more cc's out of a twin to match the power of a lower cc i4 engine.
@rlsedition4 жыл бұрын
@@pauly1k Yes, but the I4 has to rev a lot higher to access that added HP.
@rlsedition4 жыл бұрын
@Luke Kelly Maybe "retuned" would be a better descriptor. Those extra cc's versus the Monster 821 result in more torque lower down in the RPM band. Oh, and the 821 has 109 HP, not 125.
@rlsedition4 жыл бұрын
Ducati's Supersport is NOTHING like an R6 (me coming from an MV F3 675). The R6 (and my MV) is fast, but requires wringing it's neck to access that power. Great for tracks, not so much for the street.

If Ducati wants to offer a mid or entry bike, I understand it, and I like it that I would have that option. But I also think the bike should be commensurate to the Ducati brand. Cutting a few dollars here and there by not having a color dash and not having the lean sensor ABS places this bike outside of the "Ducati" investment I would particularly make. That is, I'm okay buying a bike with less power, so I can use all the power it has (instead of buying a Panigale which would characterize me as a poser), but for the Ducati price I will not buy this bike because it doesn't have up to date technology (which has already been scaled up everywhere on many bikes from different lesser "expensive" brands, including adventure bikes for many years). If I wanted a track bike, I would go for something with serious power. I could have summarized all of this by saying this bike is dated. It was born dated.
@ibar144 жыл бұрын
Personally I wouldn't buy R bikes, don't like the ergonomic. I can't find any reason why buy this one and not a Panigale. Supposse the money... But, it's like buying a V2 panigale. No sense to me. If you spend money, do it all right and buy the big one 😁😁... Just thinking loud.
@DoctorStrange014 жыл бұрын
Dude, but why do you compare a sports tourer with an uncomfortable, aggresive beast that has its place on the track, not on the public road ? Supersport is not designed for racing, it's for comfort and everyday riding, but on the sportier side. Good that you added "personally" though, cause many people claim stuff like they know what's good and what's not for everyone :D
