I was also at the Taylor Swift concert last weekend in New Orleans. We went to the Friday night show. I am not a Swiftie, but my 14 year old daughter, her best friend, and her mother definitely are. :) I did my homework and listened to the set list twice the week leading up to the show. The last time I was aware of Taylor Swift's music was during the Blank Space/Shake it Off era when I still listened to regular radio. The concert was an excellent production. "22" and "Ready for It" are great songs. I just discovered them. :) Her show is worth the money. My daughter and her friend were soooo happy. About the city of New Orleans...it was definitely NOT pristine. Sorry John! We were walking on Bourbon Street, Canal Street and all through the streets in that area. We were literally stepping around homeless people on the streets. Very sad. There were a lot of people sleeping on the streets. I told my daughter...that is someone's father, son, brother. At one point, I saw a homeless man laid out on a street in front of a church.

The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States. Puerto Ricans are born American citizens, pay taxes, work/fight for the US military, and if they move or live in one of the states, they most definitely can vote and have all the rights of an American citizen. The problem with Tony's poor taste joke is that 1. It was done at a political rally 2. It is a really idiotic joke 3. Puerto Ricans are still upset about the lack of aid on the island from Trump after the incredible devastation from Hurricane Maria (threw paper towel rolls at the people). 4. Tony was not just endorsing Trump. He was a guest speaker representing Trump at a political rally in New York (of all places). 5. Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. 6. Puerto Ricans are not immigrants, but racist people sure want to put them into the same bowl.

Millennials are a soft lot in general. My once strong and opinionated younger millennial daughter left the family group chat because her GenZ brother questioned her Swifty outfit. She said there was no more value for her in the group chat. She wasn't always so weak though. TikTok ruins a lot of people. I'm glad my GenZers see little value in social media.
