I feel sorry for some of those individuals who work at Disney, who are involved in customer service and support. They probably receive legitimate criticisms like this, but even if they concur with the caller about how Disney is going in the wrong moral direction, they are powerless to stop it. Additionally, because they are being recorded, they dare not vocalize sympathy for traditional values.

That’s not productive or fair. This guy’s just an employee and a low level one at that. There’s no one you can talk to that he could point you towards because management hasn’t provided him with that resource. You’re just tormenting the little guy for entertainment. If you don’t like their products, and don’t get me wrong: I am not a fan, then don’t use them. The reduced income will make a difference, the call will not.

Exactly. I find this approach ineffective and distasteful, even if done for the sake of comedy. There is nothing funny about this. The customer service rep was an easy target. This was one of the civilized calls, but in reality, Disney’s outsourced customer service reps are subjected daily to a lot of verbal abuse from ‘uncivilized’ callers. I doubt if Disney will even pay for their therapy sessions when it can’t even provide them with decent call conferencing equipment.

You know, I’m confident that this representafive is from the Philippines. The accent and the usage of “sir”, “notate”, “I do..” speaks volume to me. 6 years ago, I worked as a Call Center Representative, stayed in the job for a year and 3 months and pre-pandemic, we all worked on-site. I resigned from the job already but still kept in touch with my call center colleagues. According to them, some of their reps worked from home, which could explain the dog barking. One of my friends who worked from home had a chicken. The chicken suddenly clucked while on call. Customer said “Are you working in a farm?” Hahaha 😂

Complaining to a low level Disney customer support representative about the moral decline of Disney is going to be about as effective as complaining to a McDonald's cashier about why they don't include a foie gras burger on their menu. It maybe a fun stunt to show on KZbin, but the only way to effect real change is by hitting Disney in their pocket book. If *even half* of all people who profess to be Christians stop watching their content, the decline in revenue would be so tremendous they would change.

In the most charitable way I can put this, I think this accomplishes nothing. The guy who recieved the call, Mark, is very likely someone on a very low level at Disney, who can do nothing about your concerns even if he agrees with them. He doesn't represent the Disney higher-ups that are pulling the strings, so I have to agree with another comment here that this is pretty unfair to the fella who answered you, who probably just wants to get paid and go home. Also, if you want a modern disney film that's about family, I reccomend Encanto.

If your goal is actually to influence content being shown, you and your program should have done your utmost and used your connections to get your message across to Disney headquarters instead of lecturing an outsourced employee from a third world country who is powerless to help you and is probably earning less than your country’s minimum wage standard for his best efforts. Shame on Disney+ for not even providing workers like him with a decent office space (no, he did not bring his dog to the office, he was working from home that’s why you heard his dog barking in the background) nor call conferencing equipment (he was probably issued the cheapest microphone and headset as is often the case with outsourced workers)-this exposes Disney’s unethical labor practices-but also makes the poor hapless worker such an easy target for calls like this one. You may be one of the very rare civilized callers, but in reality, these outsourced workers have to endure persistent verbal abuse on the same subject from many irate callers out there, who, in my view, should be directing the brunt of their ire on Disney itself in more effective ways. I find it incredibly ironic that the outsourced customer service worker did a better job handling your call than the actual Disney headquarters hotline in your country where apparently no one can even be bothered to pick up the phone. Think on that. I am one of your channel’s numerous supporters, and though this topic is indeed very relevant in our day and age and we applaud you for raising the alarm bells, your approach is neither impactful nor imaginative, and reeks of a convenient publicity stunt. I expected better than this on your channel.

FOX ESPN MCU Star Wars The Muppets And to my surprise, ABC is also part of the entire Disney conglomerate. I've been suspicious of Disney's maneuverings since the early 90s when learning "subtle scenes" in Aladdin (Ali's "whisper" to Jasmin) and The Lion King (flying leaves/petals after Simba fell). I thought Captain America is prude like in the comics. He's not since "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Is this the hidden, untold mission-vision of Walt Disney? I hope not. “He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ This was written around 700 years before Jesus came into the earth, yet it describes His life perfectly. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve judgement but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved, and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved.
