Yeah, that's the thing that's hard to contend with... if you're consistently hitting new PR's and used to progressing forward, only to suddenly take a huge nose dive, can definitely be very demotivational... Only way I could see it not have as big of an impact would be to change training styles or have a different focus entirely.... LIke if you were pure strength focused before it would hurt to still remain strength focused without the same umph as before.... but if you switched like say from pure strength to something more endurance related such as Greg with biking or Thor with boxing, I'm sure they both still hit the main lifts but since their focus is different now they don't care as much about hitting those big numbers... That's at least my thoughts on such.

Did light and heavy cycles starting at 22 stopping abruptly at 28... Never really recovered so got my levels checked and was hitting in low 300s so got on HRT that was fine for a few yrs then realized my cypinate receptor site was just saturated and was dealing with high test but also high estrogen because even if you aren't getting gyno doesn't mean the test isnt aromatizing because it will, anyone reading this knows what I'm talking about, so then you have high t levels and high estrogen levels and that's the problem with HRT... this will happen to everyone at some point when that receptor site has been over used with synthetics... anyway I got off and it wasnt easy, going from superman to clark kent but I just made myself produce test with a steal trap mind, made myself do heavy legs, did a ton of fasting, lots of Vitamin D,E and other natural supplements... now I'm 46 been natty going on 8 to 9yrs.. it was worth it... now I'm 190 about 15 to 16 percent 5'11 and got cardio for days... I went to a more calisthenics, kettlebells, burpees style of training for longevity... it's a tough mental game, my heart goes out to anyone trying to do this! It's brutal but worth it... btw I used to weigh 252 at 15% so yes Greg's right you will lose all those gains but eventually it feels amazing that pharmaceuticals don't own you!

I got hooked on opiates and was an addict for years, and on methadone for 7 years. I was depressed, anxious, had no sex drive or energy, and finally a new doctor asked me what my testosterone levels were. I had no idea and I didn't even know that opiates killed your testosterone much like steroids do. I went in for a test, and while normal levels are between 18 and 28 I believe, I was at 0.8!!! Essentially, my body was not producing testosterone anymore. My starting dose was 200 mg every 2 weeks, and it made an incredible difference in my mental and physical well-being. Apparently, it takes ages for your body to start producing testosterone again, and sometimes it doesn't ever start producing it again. Even though I'm not on methadone anymore, I still have to take 150 mg bi-weekly, and my most recent test had me at 15, so I'm still low on that dose. I'm not sure if I will ever be able to stop taking it. Hopefully it will come back eventually, and hopefully Larry can be successful and not need to take Peds anymore I have tons of respect for him and his honesty throughout his struggles

Coach Greg, I have basically been a cripple for the past year and a half now due to a knee injury that has been re-injured 2 times already. My doctors and PT can only help so much with my recovery as I've gone through the desensitization process, nerve feeling coming back, mobility, and muscle building multiple times. Each time I recovered my knee seemed to get weaker in that area (I tore my MPFL and have damage to surrounding structure and articulate capsule.) Basically my knee is really messed up and every time I am at 80% healed, it breaks on me. My injury got me into weightlifting and was dead lifting 315 at 160lbs only 6 months after the initial in the beginning but now its put me on the bench. It has been a wild journey but I am debating whether taking a small doe of something may aid my recovery in the future. However, in this video you say to have your health, sleep, diet and more at 100% before you even try steroids. What can someone like me who has a body part that won't seem to heal itself naturally after how hard I've tried (other than surgery because I'm still "young") I've heard of things like BPC157 and other peptide compounds but tbh I'm lost. I just want to be healthy and throw iron around. Any help is good help :) - Cheers

Crazy, been natty all my life 36 now, my test level's have dwindled some, but not that much. at 190 pounds still got a 365 bench, 585 deadlift and 475 squat, not anything crazy but at 36 as a natural I don't think I've met a lot of guys my age naturally at my bodyweight putting up these numbers. It is what it is. I'd say it's due to not having the need to get on anything my whole life, although once I hit my 40's I'll take consideration in TRT and see where I go from there.

You don’t need TRT unless you are losing T drastically or can’t produce it at all. At 36 you have a long way to go. Don’t even need to think about until you reach your early 60’s. Too many young people taking or considering it are brainwashed to believe they need drugs to reach their potential.

If you keep lifting you’ll keep your strength well into your 50’s. The only thing that changes is you have to be really on the ball with your recovery and prehab/mobility work. 👊 Basically, what ends up happening is that the older lifer lifters hit their late 40's thinking they're still in their 20s - basically because lifting makes you feel f--'in amazing. The body, however, has subtle ways of letting you know that, unfortunately, that is simply no longer the case. It's those little nagging tweaks and pulls that begin to accumulate and knock you out of the gym that start to add up and can really derail your progress if you neglect all that important prep work that bored you to tears in your 20's. Also, cardiovascular health becomes much more important as you get older. Your fitness drives recovery and your ability to handle more volume as you get older as well. TL/DR: Don't neglect your mobility work or cardio, get enough sleep and quality nutrition, regulate your volume so you avoid injury, and you'll be crushing the barbell lifts well into your 70's.

For young generation I don’t recommend taking steroids, i have used PED for 9 years straight. I couldn’t go off, only last year I decide to stop taking. It’s been a year without using and I feel great, but there’s a lot of don’t side when you stop using. 1- your test level are going drop completely it will affect you sex drive. 2- you going to loose a ton of mass you going to feel very weird. 3- your body is going to feel very weak you won’t be able to train like before those intense train forget about it. 4- your body will take more time to recover from the heavy train your join are much weaker. There a lot things that I could share with you guys but it’s a lot of things. Just stay away from PEDs peace and love.

Can't wait to see wether or not Larry stays clean and if he wants to continue being dedicated to his body and gym. He could be a good role model for correcting an unhealthy trajectory of pinning

Larry should try bloat maxing to compensate.

The irony is that he's not really going natty. I love Larry, but the difference from TRT to truly coming off everything including Testosterone is a massive difference. He can maintain most of his size and strength on TRT, but he'd lose almost everything if he came off entirely. He addresses this in the video, but it's still possible he could come off, it would just take as long as 1-2 years for his body to recover to natural levels.

He's been blasting for 10 years, he will never go back to normal. I tried for 1.5 years and was miserable the whole time with sub 200 test levels by the end of it.

@@Tyler-xh2sg I got mine tested after 2-3 years of “blast and cruise” I got tired of it and how it was affecting mentally so I stopped did a full PCT got my blood work done 6 months later and my test was in the 60s

I highly doubt he’ll retain his strength/size on trt alone. Also he’s abused steroids for 10 years, he can’t produce testosterone naturally if he did it would probably be

I think normaly when people take PCT after the PCT the test levels are back to normal so if you take up to a year you have some serious problems. I know people that they did not recovered after years off cycle

Greg. HRT IS Steroids. Don't downplay it because you are on HRT. Thats like saying someone taking edibles isnt on drugs because they don't smoke weed. Cmon. Both are drugs.
@mrloqqe16102 жыл бұрын
every human has testosterone in his body, so technically you could say everyone is steroids literally. so why is that a problem? i wouldn't even say he was downplaying HRT, or at least didn't sound that way to me at all.

30 years of training 15-20 years of PED usage at the end 5 years of blast and cruise ie never off, at the age of 57 after a long PCT stopped everything and even after 2 years still felt sh*t with no libido...now on 100mg of Test ew and boom feeling fine and dandy...Remember Larry's still young so maybe he could recover his own Test production but at 60 no f*cking way.

His entire career is based around his size and strength. I commend him for his decision, but I don't think it will last long when the size really starts to drop off given his mental state.
