Hey, I'll try to get a rabbit one done in the late winter. We don't have large numbers of rabbits close to where I live but I will be visiting some good rabbit area in January.

Maybe hunt from a deer stand so the arrows stick in the ground, I have a friend who always carried a field point or two into the deer stand just in case a squirrel presented itself. Happy hunting.

I hunted them as a kid. I wouldn't now,but it was a necessary learning tool for me back then. I learned about life & death. It also taught me basic survival. Can't be squeamish & hope to survive in this world. I was taught never to hurt it unless you're gonna eat it,& try to use as much as possible without being wasteful, like the Indians did. I wanted to share my experience because without it I wouldn't be the adult I am today. There's nothing wrong with loving life,& there's also nothing wrong with hunting for the right reasons. I'm not for the whole sport thing. That's a precious waste of life to me. I'm all about feeding & loving my squirrels now. They get peanuts & corn everyday!! :) They eat right out of my hands even if I sit still long enough.

Had a grey jumped on me last year. Could not react fast enough to shoot it with my 22 or random fire at it. I swear this thing was gona bite me in the stomack. I freakin scream uncontrollably louder than a lion can roar. It finally jumped off of me and attended to jump back on. I then waved my hands up and down to scare it off. He move bout 5 yards and i took a shoot and miss cuz he was way too close for a shot. I then aimed little higher and smacked him. I was scared and piss. F bombs after F bombs the whole way back to the truck. My friend laugh his head off the entire time. But that made some good memories all it matter. Great video cant wait for this weekend opener

Great video sir. I love calling, but this is the first time I've ever seen anyone call squirrels. I call predators and have called jack rabbits.

J0Gu7 did you call any Bob rabbits or Jim rabbits what about a Jill rabbit now just joshing you only seeing cottontails myself so far in the wild one surprise me while I was out fishing a stream came bolting through the trail wasn't sure what it was turned around hand on the bear spray and it was just a little bitty rabbit staring at me and then he ran off and I resume fishing wondering why the rabbit was running so quick but there were no further issues other than some hooks getting stuck on tree roots but that's why you bring a tackle box with you at least a small one

reno romito the distress call is more likely to work earlier In the season though, a few months after mating season, I would go with chatter or a bark this late in the season. Bout a 50% chance of any luck with the distress
