you are the fiorst person that I heard say to take the scent glands and bile bags out too... I have been doing this and wondered why no one else mentioned them... Thank you.

My dad hunted as a kid, but he has a bum leg now and hasn't really seen the need to teach my brother and I how to hunt, or how to fish for anything bigger than a cutthroat trout. My brother and I are getting highly valued college degrees, so _obviously_ we don't need to know how to catch/grow our own food (eye roll). And mom grew up in the city, so it's not like she could pass on this type of knowledge. I'm admittedly squeemish about animal products, but I hope to be able to make my own food so that I can give more of my income to the people who really need it. Keeping people alive when capitalism tries to murder them is probably a decent use of my time. Anyway: thanks for making such an informative video! With practice, I might even be able to get lunch without losing a finger! 😁 I only have a couple scars from growing up in suburbia, but I think I might fix that once I get some hands on learning. 😅

Would you please post a list of all of the non-capitalist societies that provide/permit/afford substantial opportunites for their citizens/subjects to hunt? I'm sure there must be a few. I am also certain the exercise would be enlightening.

Yeah, I don't do anything but gut them and cook them whole. Don't need to even scale it, just cook it over charcoal and it's delicious. Easy prep and tasty!

What about the big chunk of meat at the head. Cut at angle and the fillets will be bigger.

The only thing I'd say is start closer to the head since there's a lot of meet there, and yes I've scaled my share of crappie and bluegill and my dad did the cutting. I like the tails when we leave them whole.

This guy doesnt really catch much fish. You can tell how he bleeped out the name of the lake, that's probably his first bluegill and doesnt want people to take "his" fish. It's a public lake, no need to edit out the name. Loser.

You missed a big chunk of meat at eh top of the head. You should cut on an angle forward to get that meat you missed. You'll have wasted a lot of meat on a mess of fish if you fillet all your fish that way. And don't even get me started on how cut the entire belly out of the ones you scaled and gutted.
