Project Zomboid is an open-world isometric video game in development by British and Canadian independent developer The Indie Stone. Small tip for sleeping in cars: if you park so that the drivers seat is blocked by a wall or another car, the zombies won't be able to reach you, allowing you to sleep safely. Edit: I'm pretty sure this also works if you block the passenger side and switch seats in the vehicle but I've yet to try it

Use the "walk to" function when going through the woods. Your character will take the optimal route and you won't get scratched or slow down.

Swear they changed something with the pathing a while back. Now if the 'safe' route makes you veer off path more than a few tiles it seems to pitch you into the trees anyways

25:54 FYI the reason you're getting tired so early is cause Zomboid actually somewhat simulates your character getting into sleep deficits and messing up their sleep schedule. Essentially just like real life staying awake for way too long and then only getting a few hours sleep will mess up your schedule a ton and you'll be stuck fixing that for the next couple of days idk about this part but from my experience it's best to go to sleep when you have the tired moodlet, not the drowsy moodlet, in my experience at least it, it's been the best way to avoid the unproductive sleepy survivor

Does anyone else think there’s just something SOO COOL about the concept of having only ONE MISSION, just to make it to an extraction point alive? I feel like it’s just the duality of safety getting closer, but it also gets more stressful cause of that. Like, THE HOPE COULD BE RIPPED AWAY AT ANY MOMENT. Idk why I’m being all deep now BUT I REALLY like the idea, anyone else feel the same??

They didnt knew what they were getting themselves into. They thought they were rescuing people from the apocalyse, not bringing the apocalyse to them. Not necesarily saying Kevin caused the apocalyse, just saying the chances of another apocalyse happenning increases by tenfold with him around.

Reversing w/ a Sunday Driver perk actually makes a lot of noise. That's probably why they all came to you--also, van is loud xD But man, I love PZ videos! Got anxious watching some of those near bite moments haha! But man you were SO close!

@@theoguncleslappy9150 I saw in some comments prior that it's a louder engine over all w/ that trait? Not as loud as Speed Demon's reverse but overall it's a louder engine? Pair that with the slow ass van, zombies will be all over you. I may have mixed Sunday with Speed Demon but overall, I think it's a bad combi with van while driving off road. Kevin's very brave for doing that 😂

The major problem with sunday driver is that it basically disables your ability to conserve fuel by coasting. If you get up to speed on a stretch of road and kill the engine, you can travel a good distance without burning gas.

Fun fact;tue longest run in project zomboid is eleven months the run ended by not dyeing by a zombie but the intire map ran out of food(yes the intire map) and at the time farming amd hunting was not in the game and yet i cant last a week

Just so you know Kevin, at 9:32, losing your hud was from pressing V. V hides the hud if you press it. The problem is that's also the vehicle maintenance. So if you are not close enough to the vehicle it hides the hud instead. Then you have to get out of the vehicle and far enough away from it to be able to press v again to show hud.

I haven't seen the video yet but just the thumbnail got me thinking. Imagine a game like PZ, but the job is to set up a base / team and gather new survivors via extracting them. You could be chasing dead broadcasts, horrible scenarios or get there and decide it's not worth the risk and have to leave the person to die / reject them. Like a colony sim built on you progressing to a rescue OP style gameplay while continuing management of your settlement. I'd like that. Oh well sucks to be me.

It's not very new-player friendly but once you get up on the learning curve, it's a great experience, I definitely recommend it. Plus there's a ton of mods to spice things up.
