According to Anne Atkins, during an interview on BBC Newsnight, Atkins’s daughter reported the issue to the local Police, they told her the Police would NOT pursue the abuse, through lack of interest!

@@jowar1949follow it up. Be in touch with the police to see WHY they weren’t doing anything. Be in touch with the victims and their families. Make sure Smyth couldn’t do it again.
