A couple of years ago I got a huge box filled with cups from a McDonalds x Garfield collab back in the 70’s for Christmas. I got them right after I moved into my own house and I drank out of those cups for a solid 2 years before I randomly stumbled upon an article saying that the cups were discontinued because the paint was lead paint so that’s pretty nifty.

I learned this as a child as my Uncle recorded and directed the TV show which told her story and was able to defy the NDA and finally expose her voracious ordeal for when she was legally able to. Fun fact for expo 86 in Vancouver, BC they converted a barge to a mcdonalds and it was appropriately named the McBarge and the gimic was to be the first floating mcds. It closed down after a few years due to high maintenance costs and was just floating in the burrard inlet for almost 30 years

The hula burger was actually before the filet-o-fish but one manager said “hell no” and made the fish sandwich we all…. Are okay with. To decide which to keep, they had a contest to see how many would sell in a day during lent. They sold well over a hundred fish sandwich’s and like 10 pineapple depression sandwiches. And so the filet-o-fish stayed!

When I was in college in 1970, the small town it was located in built a McD's a few blocks away. I'd stop there on my way back to campus after partying all weekend for a hamburger and fries because the cafeteria was closed. It was my first McD's experience. That McD's is still there, although the original building was demolished and a much bigger one with a drive thru was put in.

I'm gonna weigh in on current Mcdonald's spaghetti as a Filipino; it's pretty bad compared to another fast-food chain here in the Philippines that makes spaghetti. The pasta consistently tastes like little strings of soft rubber and there's somewhat of a platicish taste to it. The sauce is fine, not as good as the other fast-food chain, but it's just the pasta that I have the biggest problem with. Maybe it's just my area, but I've had McDonald's in a lot of places in Luzon, and as I said, it's somehow consistent. Other than that - It's interesting to hear that spaghetti seems to be a daily meal for Americans, to the point of there being 'instant spaghetti', but dislike fast-food spaghetti, while Filipinos LOVE fast-food spaghetti but don't like it as a daily home meal.

there is a mcdonalds in my homestate of Oklahoma that extends over an interstate and was once the largest mcdonalds in the world by sq/ft. I think it got beat out in the early 00s but ive only been there once and its like someone bought an entire mall food court, put a mcdonalds terminal in the corner, and called it good. Literally just a bunch of empty space they dont use, also its two stories and has a travel map on the 2nd story so you can mark where you are visting from. To give a little more insight to the hot coffee lawsuit that tugg mentioned. He is 100% right. It was a very justified lawsuit. McDonald's gave her a coffee that was around 300 degrees. It was way above the safety standards for coffee. She got third degree burns when it spilt and had thousands of dollars in medical bills. All she wanted was McDonald's to pay for medical bills. McDonald's refused so they got sued. It was an easy case for the lady because the coffee was way above safety standards and very dangerous. All she sued McDonald's for was her medical bills. She didnt care about getting a lot of money all she wanted was for McDonald's to admit their screw up and pay her medical bills since they caused her injuries. We actually used the same lawyer she used in a negligence case against Walmart that sent my step mom to the hospital. If anyone is wondering who the moon guy is in the mascots that says dont look up, that is mac tonight a mascot to promote McDonald's being open late at night, he would sing and play a piano. He was popular enough to even get his own animatronic in select locations and would sing. The reason it says dont look up is because alt right, white supremacists, and neo nazis started using mac tonight for very racist and messed up stuff. From art work, memes, and even a doom mod, mac tonight became a symbol for white supremacists labed as the "moon man". Its sad that this happend because the commercial were just a cool moon dude talking about mcdonalds became this symbol of hate and now we will never get this mascot back which sucks because i found those commercials and the mascot pretty unique.

"Ice in your drink ... I don't see how you can live without." Because I'm not there long enough for the drink to change temperature. And ice cubes stop me from taking a long sip of my drink. If I want to have half my drink in one go, I don't want anything to stop me from that.
