You definitely shouldn’t lug it like that going slow in a high gear. That’s harder on the engine than revvin it high. Everything gets beat around in there, trans and primary too, when your lugging it.

What base map did you use for the woods cam. I’m installing the same cam on my bike with the thunder max
@drtub922 жыл бұрын
It’s been a while since I did this and a lot has changed. When I did this there was no cam option for a base map. But now I think there are a few cam maps on the software, find one that is close to the cam specs. Maybe if there is one for a 468 use that one , and fine tune it over a few rides
@Bondarms4105 жыл бұрын
I too did the woods performance 22x cam along with the two brothers racing 2 into 1 comp s series pipe and kept my stock ventilator A/C on it but with a K&N air filter because I don't really see any significant gains with a heavy breather unless you're going to change out the throttlebody and if you're just doing a stage one or two that don't make any difference either you need to do a stage three or four in order to really get the gains by swapping out to a bigger throttlebody but along with a power vision from fuel moto with a map in that fuel motor set up for my bikes set up. My question is where do you think my numbers are on this 114 breakout to the rear wheel after all this work? Thanks.
@drtub925 жыл бұрын
Ken Dean well it’s hard to say exactly but I would guess somewhere around 112hp/118tq . Mine put down 100 and 110 and I’m sure some is still left on the table. With your more Cubes and a 2-1 that’s my guess
@mtdman11465 жыл бұрын
How do you like that setup? I was planning on doing basically the exact same (22x cam, tbr 2-1 comp s, PV tuner) on my fat bob 114 except with the fuel moto heavy breather mod using the stock filter cover. Been trying to find opinions on forums. Hows the power/delivery feel compared to stock? Hows the pipe sound?
@Bondarms4105 жыл бұрын
MTDman11 I will say that there is a night and day difference in this bike with the two brothers S comp series the power vision from fuel Moto with their map in it for my bike along with their woods performance 22X cam kit along with the stock ventilator intake with a cane in air filter in it. Everyone who jumps on my bike and takes it down the road for 15/20 minutes comes back and says unfucking believable! The sound out of this M8 114 now is thunderous.

RPMs on a Harley should always be higher than lower. Running your bike to redline and then shifting will never hurt it. No way Harley would warranty a bike they know wont last hitting redline. You have a lot more cushion at red line that you think. Worst thing you can do is lug. A Harley only runs to its full potential in a higher rpm range. Of course you cant rev the shit out of them in neutral. Or drop 3 gears instantly at 90 mph. Under load keep rpms up and enjoy a bike that engineers designed to ride 3500 4000 rpms and up

Good job doing it yourself, after hours of research I also went with woods 22x cam and fuel motos 2in1 road&track full system, remapped with dyno jet power vision on my 18 FLTRX very happy with the results as this really woke up the M8, dynoed at 95 HP and 105 ft/lb torque on EC997a Eddy Dynamometer which gives true numbers of power to the pavement, not this inflated bullshit coming off the crank.
