Christo thanks a tonne!! For complete last week I have been closely following your video on “Top 5 Golf secrets”. It helped me immensely. Today on the range I hit @ 50 balls with my driver and to my surprise 40+ were dead straight and travelled a great distance!!! I was really struggling with my driver.. I know on the course it will be different ball game but those 5 things give me a lot of confidence..thanks once again.

Very good stuff, sir. One of the things that occurs with narrowing the feet is it’s much easier to clear your hips which is what’s creating the speed, not his arms or shoulders. And it’s cool because he & you are turning the golf instruction into a new realm, a new dimension of an older & much more stylish AND effective technique. The reason he doesn’t look like he’s “swinging very hard” is, his legs are creating the power. His hips lead the way. One more token opinion, since they’re free: I’ve looked carefully and his right arm is BENT at impact. How about them apples??? And that sir, is why the ball is coming out at warp speed. It’s sooooooo funny because the “analysts” keep pointing to the handle but the reason for the Brent right arm, a la BH, is, he’s supinated at impact. THERE IS NO OTHER way. Christo, you also pointed to how his right elbow is sticking to or near his chest. IMHO, and I know I’m right, is he’s NOT hitting it from the top. He is NOT trying to “keep the width” or “post up” which is what happens when you release that right hand before impact. Also, the only way he can make that swing is by keeping his weight over his feet, not getting his knees over his toe line. Once you “run at the ball with your right knee, which I can guarantee you is not the Secret, the right arm has to release. It does. Great work, keep em coming.

Christopher, he's 6' 175 lbs. What I love is his rerouting the club into a flatter downswing plane that forces his right elbow into his side early and forward. From behind him watch the driver clubhead drop 8 inches during back swing to forward transition. His talent is immense, one to watch.

@FairwayJack 6 жыл бұрын
His pronounced shallowing of the plane in the downswing creates a powerful moment arm and keeps his right wrist in extension which in turn max outs the lag tension and kicks the shaft into impact at the optimum time ...sure, his swing speed is impressive but he gets the yardage with physics
@wallstreetoneil
@wallstreetoneil 2 жыл бұрын
It's amazing how many people talk about everything else in his swing and yet miss what I think is absolutely the #1 explanation for his 'excess' speed. I refer to this move as the looping 'tennis' forehand move, you see it exaggerated in the max in Matt Wolff's swing, but it is this looping, down cock right wrist loading, exactly like tennis players do, that vastly accelerates the club. Keopka, DJ, Morikawa, Zalitoris all do it.

ultimatejay My honest opinion is the SSR spread gets higher as the speed gets faster. I’d feel comfortable saying my hardest swings would be around 124-5 on Trackman. Your right though(at least for amateurs and recreational golfers), I don’t use the driver that often(even when I’m hitting it good), because I like to be able to swing a full club into the green. It’s so much easier for me to hit a 3 iron or a hybrid to a specific distance and area.
